Chapter One: House Party

"Hey babe, I'm gonna go get us some more drinks, okay?" Talia said, unlatching her arm from around her boyfriend's neck. He nodded and handed her his cup to fill it up. "Be right back." She smirked, planting a kiss on his lips.

She walked over to the keg, pouring two glasses of beer. She felt eyes on her so she looked around to try to find whoever it was. Her eyes met with a rather tall guy, she noticed a slight shade of pink when she looked at him. Once she finished filling the cups, she turned to face him.

"Are you going to stand there all night, or are you actually going to say somthin'?" She half smirked, looking at him in the corner of her eye. He played with the sleeves of his shirt awkwardly. "I'm Talia." She smiled kindly.

"Damian." He introduced himself scratching at the bandages on his arms. She looked down at them, knowing well enough what they were from. "I like your hair." He smiled, pointing at Talia's long, dark purple hair.

"Hey, dickwad. Come on we're leaving." A guy a few years older than them stood next to them. Damian stood up, the smile from five seconds ago, gone. Talia stood up to, only to gently push Damian back down.

"Awe, come on." Talia faked a slur. "We were just about to go dance." She acted drunk, making both guys look at her confused. The older guy sighed before taking the extra cup out of Talia's hands and walked away.

"Thanks." Damian mumbled, sipping his own drink. She shrugged, sitting next to him again. A slow yet danceable song played throughout the house, a nice change from the multiple songs about getting drunk or high that had been playing the entire night.

"Wanna actually dance, though?" Talia smiled slightly, looking over at him. She stood up and offered him her hand. He looked at her hand, then up to her eyes. He blushed again, but nodded. They got up and slowly swayed to the song.

"Hey! What the fuck are you doing man?" Someone yelled from behind them. Talia quickly let go of him. It was Liam, Talia's boyfriend. "Keep your hands off my girl!" He warned, standing in between Talia and Damian.

"I can take care of myself, Liam." Talia hissed, stepping in front of Liam, her back to Damian. Her cheerful mood from before, gone. "You don't have to speak for me." She managed to get him away from Damian.

"Fine, you can walk home then." Liam sighed angrily and walked away. Talia let out a noise of aggravation and took a swig of her drink.

"I'm sorry if he scared you." Talia looked at Damian. "He gets really over protective over me."

"He still shouldn't treat you like that." Damian said with a serious tone. "You seem like you deserve better." He smirked slightly, his mood changing, making her laugh under her breath. They walked back to the spot they were sitting and hung out there. That was until one of Talia's friends ran up to them.

"OMG, Talia!" The friend squealed, taking Talia's hand and pulling her to her feet. "They're playing spin the bottle! We have to join them!" She began to pull Talia away. She looked back to Damian, who followed behind them since he had nothing better to do.

Everyone was sitting in a circle, a beer bottle in the middle of the group. Damian sat cross legged directly across from Talia. She smiled and winked, making him look down, blushing. The bottle made its way around the circle until it was Talia's turn to spin. She laughed, leaning forward on her knees to reach the bottle. It landed on none other than Damian. They both stared at each other, barely even blinking. After a few minutes Talia crawled over to kiss him, then crawled back.

Then a few more people went before it was Damian's turns he hesitantly leaned forward to spin the bottle. It spun multiple times before landing on the familiar purple haired beauty in front of him. A few laughs were heard from the group.

"Second time, you guys have to use tongue!" An already wasted guy laughed, causing his friends to laugh. Damian's face turned beet red, which was covered by the darkness of the room.

"I swear, if I find out you rigged this..." Talia joked, crawling back over to him. He laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.

She did not hold back, she crashed her lips against his, making the butterflies in his stomach aggressively flap their wings. He felt her tongue glide across his bottom lip, he opened his mouth to let her in. After a few minutes of that she broke away and crawled back to her spot on that he floor.

Round and round went the bottle through the circle. Talia's eyes widened when the bottle, spun by another girl, landed on her. The girl nervously tucked a hair behind he ear. She could tell that the girl was nervous so she quickly crawled over to the girl and gave her a quick peck on the lips. Earning a few cheers from some of the guys.

"Oh shut up!" Talia laughed as she sat back in her spot. She looked over at Damian again, who blushed even more now that she was looking at him and winked. After a few more spins, the bottle made its way back to Talia.

"If it lands on Damian again, you have to spend seven minutes in the closet!" Talia's friend from earlier laughed, downing another beer. Everyone laughed at her but waited anxiously to see how it would play out.

Talia took a deep breath, cursing herself for even taking part of this stupid game. Sure, Damian seemed like a nice guy, and he was pretty good looking. But she couldn't think like that, she had a boyfriend. Then again it wasn't like Liam didn't do the same thing to her. She caught him multiple times in the arms of different women, but yet she still went back to him. He always managed to get her to forgive him.

She sighed and mentally prepared herself for what fate had in store for her that mid September night. She spun the bottle, even closing her eyes, sort of afraid about what may or may not happen.

She opened her eyes when the bottle stop.

And her heart did the same.
