Chapter Five: This is Halloween.
October 31st , the day that high school girls around the world could dress however they wanted and not get judged (openly) about it. A friend of Liam was throwing a party for the occasion and they were only two rules, bring your own booze and wear a costume. So that's what people did So Talia and Liam, being 'that couple', dressed up as a nurse and a doctor.
"Hey Tali, I'm gonna go get a drink, I'll be back." Liam pulled her close and kissed the top of her head; Talia nearly flinched but tried to cover it up. It wasn't like he was leaving Talia alone, she had two girls she's 'friends' with to talk to. However she saw Damian pull up with his brother, the two got out of Damian's car (his brother ditching him almost immediately), she took this opportunity to go over to him to say hi.
"Didn't you know it's a costume party?" Talia gestured to Damian's regular clothes. "Where's your costume?"
"I do have a costume." Damian said matter-of-factly. "I just couldn't wear it while I was driving." He pulled a white sheet from seemingly out of nowhere to reveal that it had two holes cut out for eyes.
"Classic." She giggled.
"I try my best." He shrugged.
"Wow Damian, love your costume." One of Liam's friends just happened to pass them at that moment. "It's real school shooter sheik." Damian reacted by trying to go after him but Talia stopped him, insisting that if he does go after him, it'll only make things worse.
After the guy left laughing to his friends , they went inside to sit down. Liam though was nowhere to be seen, and Talia didn't know if she should be worried or take comfort in his absence. In the house the TV was on, but the loud music was drowning it out, so Damian and Talia made their own dialog. Once Carrie found out she had telepathy, Talia decided to get them something to drink. Damian stayed where he was though, so he could save their seats while Talia went into the kitchen. She hummed to herself along with the song that's playing on the radio, when suddenly she heard a noise coming from a nearby of bedroom.
"What the hell?" She whispered, temporarily forgetting about Damian's drink, but still holding onto hers. Liam's best friend saw her going toward the door and maneuvered his way toward her, getting between her and the door.
"Talia, don't go in there. It's being used right now." He seemed to try to make his voice sound sincere but Talia saw straight through him. But he didn't move so she was willing to walk away until she heard a girl's voice moan Liam's name.
"Get out of my fucking way." Talia hissed pushing past the guy and opening the door to see Liam having sex with a random girl in the room. "You fucking pig!" She yelled, causing the entire party to go silent. She stormed into the room and dumped her drink on both of them before quickly making her exit. Damian followed her outside, grabbing her by the arm so she'd stop and look at him.
"T, what's wrong?" Damian asked, trying to read her facial expressions to see if he could tell what was wrong from that.
"Nothing, let go of me." She tugged to get out of his grip.
"It's not nothing, you're crying." Damian whispered. Talia raised her free hand to her cheeks and felt the tears falling down her face, she didn't even realize she was crying until he pointed it out. "I'm not going to leave you alone until you tell me what's wrong."
"I caught Liam screwing another girl in the bedroom by the kitchen." She took a deep breath before continuing. "God, I'm so stupid to think that he could change." Damian let go of her arm, as promised and she pulled both of her hands to her face to hide her tears. Damian shifted his weight on his feet without saying anything before he started to walk back toward the house.
