Yuri walked out of his room, tired and grumpy, holding a vase just in case it was needed. He stopped around the corner of the hallway and stopped to look at who had come in.

The school Prince and the back stabber, Victor Nikiforov.

Yuri glared straight at the boy, holding the vase still. This counted as a break in right? He wouldn't get in trouble if the vase just somehow smashed against Victor's head right?

Sadly, he probably would. Being arrested and being expelled were two different things.

So he reluctantly put the vase down on the couch and walked up to the other boy.

And then socked him in the gut.

Victor fell to the ground gasping, and Yuri just watched. He hated to sight of Victor hurt, but Victor deserved what he got. Victor didn't say anything however, and that made Yuri even more mad. He wanted Victor to say something, anything, even if it was just yelling. Yuri hated this silence. He hated Victor ignoring him so much that he wanted to punch his own self.

When it was obvious Victor wasn't going to say anything, Yuri turned away. He walked back into his room and did exactly what he needed to. He needed to hear something, even if it was the ringing of his head being hit.

He sent a punch straight into the side of his head and fell ober from the shock of the pain. He didn't know he'd hit himself that hard. He felt dizzy.

After a bit his head started to clear and he got up from where he laid on the floor. He let out a sigh and looked at his bland clothes. They were all black, just like always. Maybe he should change out what was in his closet?

Nah.

He left his room, expecting Victor to have left. He was mistaken, because there stood the other boy in all his glory, eating a granola bar. Yuri let out a sigh and grabbed a piece of crumpled up paper that happened to be on the table next to him. If Victor wasn't going to pay attention to him, Yuri would make him.

Yuri threw the paper at Victor and it hit the other in the forehead. Score.

Victor looked at him with a surprised expression.

"If you're going to stay here, explain yourself asshole." Yuri said, leaning back against the wall and crossing his arms. Victor just let out a sigh and went back to his book. Yuri narrowed his eyes in anger.

"One."

Victor still didn't do anything but flip his page.

"Two."

Again, Victor didn't say or do anything. Yuri gave up counting. "Fuck it."

He stormed over to the table Victor sat at and tore the book out of the others hand. The boy with green-blue eyes looked at him in surprise, and his eyes met the angry dark brown eyes that glared at him.

"You do not help yourself to my house without any explanation and without speaking to me. I have half the mind to kick you out on those streets right now." Yuri practically shouted, his eyes getting darker and more angry with each word.

"So explain yourself. Now. Or just leave."

Victor let out a sigh. Yuri was confused, and not just about Victor. Why did he care that Victor had turned his back on Yuri? Why was he so angry about it? Why did he need an answer?

Why did it hurt him so much?

He quickly moved away from the other man, but continued to glare.

"It was a way to get back at you." Victor finally said, catching Yuri off guard. Yuri's eyes widened in surprise, not completely understanding the words that had been spoken. Sure he was an asshole,  but Victor knew that and hadn't been bothered by it before.

"W-what?" He heard himself say, hating the stutter and the sound of his voice. Victor looked at the floor, letting out another sigh. He then looked Yuri straight in his eyes.

"You ignored me all day yesterday, if you weren't being completely rude." He said, and Yuri now understood.

He had ignored Victor one day unless he heard the flirting that was common. He hadn't realized it, but he even almost forgot to wait for Victor afterschool. He almost face calmed from his stupidity.

He had been so used to Victor just tagging behind and speaking for Yuri, that he forgot the man was there. Now Yuri understood more why Victor had, but he hadn't completely forgiven the man. The feeling was probably mutual with the tension that seemed to build up between the two.

It may take a while, but Yuri secretly hoped that Victor would soon forgive him. He hated the thoughts that tried to destroy that chance, to over rule it. They were common so he knew how to hide the fact that he was breaking down from this.

Why he was though?

He didn't know anymore.
