//Hinata's POV//

My legs ached from the continuous pedaling and my stomach churned from the fear that rested in the pit of it. But none of that mattered right now because the one thing that kept me going was the fact that Kageyama was alone and slowly dying somewhere in a hospital bed. Come on, come on. I tried to go faster but my legs were already working their hardest. Finally, I saw the hospital's plain white sign and turned into the deserted parking lot, throwing my bike into the rack and not bothering to lock it. Running through the automatic glass doors, I stopped in front of the emergency rooms reception desk. The lady stationed there looked slightly startled by my sudden appearance but spoke in a calm and collected voice as I stood there trying to catch my breath.

"Sir, how may I help you?"

"I'm looking f-for Kageyama Tobio." I said in a forced, panicked voice.

"Okay, and what's your name?"

"Hina-"

"Hinata!"

I was cut off before I could even finish saying my name from the same voice that was on the phone. I looked down the hall to see Kageyama's mother running towards me.

"It's all right he's with me." His mother told the receptionist. Kageyama's mother, who was usually well dressed now had her makeup smeared, her hair sticking up in a frizzy, tangled mess and had dark, circles that hung under her already exhausted looking eyes.

She grabbed my hand and led me down the corridor and stopped in front of a room which had the door closed. "I need to get some coffee because I haven't slept all night. Do you want some?"

"Thank you, but no I'm fine. And I can stay with him if you would to go home and get yourself situated so that you're more prepared to stay here." I told her, giving her a reassuring smile that said, "he'll be fine, just relax".

She looked relieved by the offer and took me into a loving embracing and thanked me for my kindness, which she gladly took advantage of and left down the hall towards the exit. I turned my attention back to the door and away from the hallway, scared of what I was about to see, I reached a shaking hand out to the doorknob and pushed the door open slowly, hearing it squeak as I did so.

Flashing lights, beeping monitors and a lifeless, motionless body lay in front of me. All bombarding me with the realization that this is truly happening. I walked farther into the room, shutting the door behind me. I stood over the pale and almost died, broken body that lay on the white bed. Seeing the dark haired male like this hurt me. I didn't ever imagine that I would have to see someone I truly love be in this much pain and be in any situation like this.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek as I gripped onto his hand gently and said in a soft voice, "As long as I'm here, you'll be the strongest."
