Chapter 42

After Katy said I should consider being a model I've thought it over and sent California modeling office with pictures and stuff about me and I'm still waiting to hear back. "Kayla! Where are you?!" I heard Perrie shouted excitedly.

"I'm outside!" I shouted. The door was open and I was sitting in the hot tub. Perrie came running out of the house outside with an envelope in her hands and a huge smile on her face. I laughed at her. "What's that?" I asked using the remote to turn down the volume.

"California modeling office! They sent this!" She screamed. I quickly got out of the hot tub and grabbed the letter running inside with Perrie running after me. I opened up the letter and started to read it.

"What does it say?" Perrie asked calmer. "I got in!" I screamed. Perrie screamed with me and ran up to me hugging me. "When do you leave?" She asked looking at the letter over my shoulder. "It says next week..." I said slowing down. "Next week?" Perrie asked.

I nodded. "It says they have provided me with a house close by the modeling agency and they have my flight and everything covered." I said smiling. She smiled. "I'm so glad you got accepted." She told me.

We ordered wings in because mum knows that my favorite food to celebrate. "So when are you gonna tell Luke?" Mum asked as we were almost done eating. I then sighed. "Crap I forgot. I have no idea how I'm telling him." I said putting my head in my hands.

"I'm sure he'll understand love." She said rubbing my back. "This is what you wanna do and plus he's gonna be going on tour again soon. You both won't have time to be with each other. If you really want to do this then do it." She said before putting away the dishes.

I sighed and went up my room to finish my homework. I'm not telling him till the day I leave.

"Kayla get up." I heard someone say knocking in my door. I sighed and looked around my room to see the boxes I already packed but I have alot more to go. I got up and got dressed did my hair and makeup and went downstairs.

"You ready to go?" Zayn asked me grabbing his car keys. I nodded and went outside and drove to school.

I got out of the car and went into the school. Last time I'll be in this school.

The day went by pretty fast and once in my life I was quite sad it went by slowly. I packed up everything from the locker and walked home to see Em. I smiled and gave Emily a hug. We headed upstairs and she helped me pack.

"I can't believe your gonna be a model in California." She said starting to cry. I sighed. "Em don't cry. Your gonna make me cry." I said as we sat in my room on the floor eating ice cream. "I know I'm sorry." She said wiping away her tears. "How did Luke react?" She asked me.

I looked at the floor and back at her. "You didn't tell him did you?" She asked stopping eating the ice cream. I shook my head. "Kayla he's your boyfriend for Christ sakes when were you gonna tell him? You leave tomorrow!" She yelled.

"I know okay. But it's to hard." I said pushing the ice cream to the side. She left taking the Ice cream carton and came back a few minutes with my phone in her hand. "Why do you have that?" I asked her as she sat back down next to me in my empty room.

"Call him. You can't leave and not tell him." She said handing me the phone. I looked at it in my hand. "You gonna call him?" She asked me. I shook my head and put it in my pocket.

The boys all came over early in the morning to say goodbye because I didn't want them to come to the airport with me because I don't want to cry. Mum drove me to the airport and when we parked she smiled at me.

"This is it." She told me. I nodded. "I'll see you soon tho. I'll come visit." I told her smiling. She nodded and helped me get all my boxes and shit into my private plane. Yep I'm the only one on it. I asked the pilot if I could go make a phone call.

I got off the plane and walked into the waiting area and pulled out my phone. It went to voicemail and I was kinda glad.

"Hey Luke. It's me. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but I'm moving. To California. I got the modeling job. I just didn't know how to tell you. But you know I love you but because we won't ever be able to see each other I think we should just end it now. I know we both agreed to try and make this work but how are we when you're so far away from me? It would just be to much on me and I hope you understand, I'm gonna miss you so much when I'm gone. Goodbye Luke." I said before hanging up and going back on the plane.

This is it. My life is about to change.

WHA WHA what? This is the end. I'm so sad it's done but I'm writing a sequel! Yay! The sequel will be up soon. It's called 'What Now' If you guys like I can add one last chapter of Luke getting the message and her living in Cali and then go to the sequel but I love you all thanks for reading this and waiting for me to update when I'm slow.

And one more thing I would like to say is you will here more about Kayla's mom's murder case I didn't just put it in there for no reason it will make since in the sequel. If you have any questions you can ask me anytime(:
