“What are you doing here, in our territory?” Aaron asked angrily, jerking around and seeing our uncle walk down the stairs. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“And what will you do? If you take after your father in any way, you couldn’t hurt family.” He laughed as he approached Dad’s throne and sat down.
“Uncle, you’re not welcome here. Not what you did to…” I trailed, unable to finish. I couldn’t, and I didn’t have to.
“Oh please, what part of ‘he didn’t deserve you’ didn’t you get?” He asked, and I could feel my hands burn with rage, and fire conjured to them easily.
“I loved him more than anything, and you just took him away from me! I hate you!” I screamed, getting up from my throne and standing in front of him. “Now get out of the King’s chair before I or his guards come and destroy you.” I growled angrily, and the fire raged all the way up my arms.
Talamaki stood up and conjured fire all the way around his body, walking towards me. I backed away slowly, but he followed. How could he do that?
“You still underestimate me? This is pretty sad.” Talamaki laughed as he flung the fire at me, but a wall of earth appeared in front of me before it connected. Aaron stepped onto my side of the wall.
“Really, Calia? I have to save you again?” Aaron whined as the wall disappeared, Aaron stepping in front of me.
“You don’t have to. I got this.” I argued, but he didn’t budge.
“Oh, this should be fun.” Talamaki smiled sinisterly as he conjured more fire. A battle of the relatives? Ugh, not this again.
“Burn in Hell!” I shrieked as the wall was incinerated, and the throwing of the flame began, wrecking havoc and blasting us in the chests, forcing us back and pain surged through me. Aaron was off to the side somewhere, and Talamaki was standing over me, flame high up in the air. I blocked my face and waited for the blow.
“Stop it, all of you!” A feminine voice shouted from the doorway in the front. We all turned to see who it was, but a large wave of water came down on us, bringing me down under and flooding the area. I flailed my arms randomly, but sank under, floating down and down. I still couldn’t swim, and I felt my breath becoming weaker and weaker.
I was brought up by Aaron, and the water was at least seven feet above the floor. We looked around to see who flooded the throne room, and of course, it was aunt Holly. The only faerie in Tanyela with all Magics, and also related by blood, and was kicked from the throne when Dad escaped from Talamaki.
“Oh, hi aunt Holly. Long time no see.” I greeted as I was flailing my arms in the water to keep floating.
“Hey Calia! You’re back!” Aunt Holly smiled as she conjured some earth to make a raft for me. Aaron climbed on as well.
“You know Dad is going to kill you when he finds out this is flooded.” Aaron pointed out worriedly.
“Oh, it’ll be gone by then. I just thought I’d drop by on his Wedding Anniversary, that’s all.” Aunt Holly and I conjured fire to our hands, maybe hoping to evaporate the water away. Eventually Aunt Holly used Wind and blew the water away.
“Well, Dulvok’s sleeping. Apparently he does that on his Anniversary to get the day over with.” Talamaki said, conjuring fire to dry out his clothes.
“Why? Does he not want to remember her?” Aunt Holly asked suspiciously, and heard some noise coming from surrounding hallways.
“I didn’t do anything!” Talamaki screamed as some guards came out.
