Chapter 20 ~Goodbye Evan~

  A few weeks had gone by,everything seemed okay. When the I was told I had slight amnesia and bleeding in the brain,I panicked. But it all turned out okay.

I still haven't been to school or talked to anyone but Lexi. The amnesia was only for a week,everything went well. I'm just lucky to be alive,my hospital stay wasn't to long and the bleeding was just a day and stopped. I still had some headaches,but I felt good. I couldn't nothing strenuous for awhile..

"Hi sweetie.how do you feel today?"my mom smiled and Gabe me a hug.

"I'm okay mom." I was still having headaches,but I decided not to mention that.

'Are you ready go back to school tomorrow. Just a few  weeks left and you graduate."

"Um..yea"I hesitated,cause I wish I could skip the next few weeks,so I wouldn't see Blake.

"Have you talked to Blake?"I swear my mom was a mind reader.

"No",I said quietly.

"I want to go lie down"I left the kitchen and went upstairs to rest.I was pretty exhausted.

I fell asleep for awhile and woke up at 8 pm. I got up go grab a bite to eat and my phone rang.

It was Lexi..

"Hello" I answered..

"Hey Sky,I hope you're feeling better."her voice was to chipper,I laughed st the fact she always managed to cheer me up.

"I'm much better just tired."

"Well"..Lexi began..

"What is it?"

Evan left ,he moved back to Colorado with his dad.

"Oh.." I felt my heart sink..

"W-Why?"..I asked her
Honestly Skyler,he blames himself for what happened..he really cares about you.I just wanted to let you know.I.not to worried I think he might come back.He feels bad about everything..

"OK thanks." I felt a tear slide down my face.Hopefully he would come back,I was starting to realize that I did like him..bit my feelings were still mixed up.

"Ok,well I'll see you at school tomorrow. "I heard her say and then I ended the call.

Why would he leave??

I tried to call his number.His phone was off..

I took a deep breath and went downstairs to get a glass of water and a peanut butter sandwich.

My mom was dressed up a little,she had dress pants and a red dressy shirt and black boots.

"Hey sweetie! I'm going out with Allison,we're going to a new coffee shop that just opened up."she smiled and grabbed her purse on the kitchen counter.

"Okay."I mumbled,sipping on my glass of  water.

"Okay,I'm going I'll be home after 11."

She kissed me and rushed out the door. I stood by the door and watched her leave. I was about to walk away,When Blakes car pulled in his drive.

I walked away and went upstairs..I got halfway upstairs before I realized I didnt lock the door.

Oh great..

I heard someone walk in,I assumed my mom forgot something..

"Hey mom,what did you leave behind? " I smiled and it faded as I saw someone by the door.

I reached the bottom of the steps to see Blake in the doorway..

What?

"What are you doing here?" I snapped..
