Chapter 28 ~Confession~

  So where are we going?  I laughed out of curiosity. I knew we weren't going far, but I figured I ask him. I was actually really hungry and we were driving for at least 30 minutes.

We stopped an got some food,gas and drove for another hour and ended up at a place called Lakehouse resort .

Where we I asked grabbing a donut from the place..I was still hungry after just eating a burger and order of fries .

It's a place my parents used to take me.We used to go boating every Sunday and then head home an order pizza.he smiled and stared out the car window.

At that moment my phone rang,I was expecting it to be Blake but it was my mom.

"Honey make time this weekend to go see your grandmother.Shes in a new group ho.e and she wants us to visit next Friday"

"Okay sure " I told my mom ,I haven't seen my grandmother for several months since she moved out of the house. She stayed with my aunt for a couple months then decided to stay in a group home where she could receive her medication properly. She started having problems breathing within the few months and it was getting worse. I really missed her.

"Next Friday? What time? "

"I'll pick you up at the house after I get of work.Be ready after 6pm."

"Okay mom" I smiled and hung up.
I took a deep breath and I was scared to death that she knew I skipped school,but my school isn't very strict on absent students.

Hunter turned to look at me and my heart fluttered.

Why is is he so mysterious to me? I wondered. I barely knew anything about him.

"Let's go" Hunters deep voice broke my  thinking.

"Okay" I told him coming back to reality.

"Wow! This is so Beautiful." I was in awe.I loved stuff like boating,hiking and camping. I used to spend weekends camping when I was younger.

"We can stay here for a little while,then get some food and head back."Hunter suggested walking towards the lake.

"Hey wait!" I laughed as he headed toward the woods.

Right as I said that, he started running.

"What?" I giggled.

"Come on Skyler! Keep up with me." He was out of breath as I caught up to him.

"You barely ran,why are you so out of breath?"I laughed and patted him on the back.

"Good question." he smiled and grabbed my hand. We were headed towards the woods and my phone rang. It was Blake this time.

"What is it?" I demanded.

"Where are you Skyler? Why aren't you at school?"

"I'll be at school tomorrow Blake,taking a break today. Talk to you later."I hung up the phone and then shut it off.

A few hours later we were heading back home . It was almost 4 PM and I had to get back home.

We reached my driveway and i noticed Blake's car was not in his driveway. So he must not be home.

"See ya later" Hunter smiled..

"Thank you for today." I got out and closed the car door and went into the house.

The next few days flew by and didn't see or talk to Blake. I found out later he was out of town for a family thing.

Lexi was over it was a Friday night and we wanted to go see a movie.

Lexi shrieked..

"Zombie land is playing!" She stared at the newspaper in excitement.

"I'll pass"I laughed..I dont think I can sit through a zombie movie.

"Nothing scary."I playfully slapped Lexi on her shoulder.

"Is it because its gory?"

I took a deep breath and exhaled.

"Oh come on!" She begged..

"Please. Please. Please."Lexi continued begging.

"Stop!" I yelled laughing.

"Well what else is playing?"
Prosecutor Prince and Death glare.

"Okay Zombies it is."I smiled hitting her with a pillow.

"We need popcorn money." Lexi added digging some change out of her purse.

"Put your money away Lex." I grabbed her changed and put it back in her purse.

"I'm buying."I beamed at her and continued looking at the newspaper for any other possible different choice of movies,but I guess it was the zombie one.

"Okay!" I jumped up and started dancing.

Let's go get ready." I grabbed my purse and went upstairs to look for an outfit.

2 hours later Lexi and I were ready to walk out the door and as soon as I opened the door

Blake was standing there ..

"Can we talk?" He asked looking down.

I'm leaving, Lexi and I are going out.

"Now."he demanded.

I took a deep breath.

"Fine. What is it?"

"Um I'll go get a drink in the kitchen where the drinks are"..Lexi chimed in nervously.

"Can't this wait?" I asked him impatiently..

It felt like forever before he decided to speak..

"I really like you"..Blake continued.

Blake looked really nervous and I could tell he was troubled with something more than telling me he liked me. We already talked about dating and going out. For some reason it just didn't work,because he was so indecisive. He doesn't really  know what he wants. Right now I felt as if my time was being wasted. I was wondering if Lexi was getting mad because the movie was about to start in twenty minutes.

Blake I really like you too. Everytime we talk about this,it leads to one of us walking away. You dont want a steady relationship. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember you saying we should date and then you change your mind. So..

" I like you too." I told him patting his shoulder.

"No wait" Blake shook his head as if he was in a daze.

"What? What is it?"I looked at him closely and something seemed to be  bothering him..

"Blake are you okay?"

Skyler..

"I have to go Blake..I-"

"I love you Skyler." He looked at me and a tear slid down his face.
