So this is like a mashup of the reader's personality in Sugaya one-shot and Nagisa one-shot. I was thinking of making this like an art competition, but it might become cringy af, so it's not gonna happen. AT ALL.

So...that's where my idea went crazy.

Third Person's POV

Walking along the corridor with his hands behind his back, Gakushu keeps a perfect smile fixed on his face as he nods politely to the students staring at him.

Hearing some of the girls squeal, he winces slightly inside, but keeps his expression perfect until he turns around the corner, going up the stairs and into an empty room.

Sensing someone walking in, a boy looks over from his painting, grinning, "Yo, Shu. It sure took you long enough to get here."

Gakushu's smile becomes real for a second before going back to its perfect state. "(Y/N), it also took me a while to realise that you are still a female." He said, sitting down and leans on his hand, looking at the infuriated bo–girl.

"I am a girl! Okay!? I just don't like having long hair and wearing those really short dresses. And I am older than you, so you should call me with senpai after my name." She pouts slightly, crosing her arms.

"You just don't like female stuff. Just admit it, (Y/N), you are a boy in your heart." He sighs, hiding a rare mischevious glint in his eyes as he watches (Y/N) waving her fists and stomping her feet in anger.

With this being his first year in Kunugigaoka, he was already famous with his perfect scores and his father being the principal, and when the students saw his looks, it is obvious that he is the most popular boy.

Knowing that his father expects him to be the best at everything, he has acted perfect, and of course, he knows he is perfect. (Tbh, I think Isogai is more perfect.)

But one day, he was walking around and found a room with no one around it. Being curious, he walked in and found (Y/N) sitting there, painting. At that time, he knew right away that she was different than the other girls.

After that, they became friends, and...

Well, that's all.

Of course, he asked (Y/N) if she really is a student here, and she replied that she is a "special case".

Knowing that there are some students like that(*coughs*Karma*coughs*), he started to relax around her and can put down his facade for a while.

"So, did you come here to sit again?" She asks after calming down.

"Something like that. What are you drawing this time?" Gakushu asks, walking over, and as expected, the canvas is empty.

(Y/N) tilts her head to the side, taking a brush from the side and move it around the canvas, explaining, "I don't know what I want to draw. I mean, I know I am amazing at drawing, but there's something blocking my mind."

He sighs, taking a step back. "I am sure you can remember it soon. Remember to show it to me when you are done."

"Yeah, I will."

Your POV

When the bell rings, you watch as Gakushu walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Lookimg back at the canvas, a helpless smile spreads upon your face.

You can't tell him that after knowing him you destroyed the almost-finished painting so you can stay longer to talk with him and feel again.

But it's been too long.

Knowing clearly that if you don't start and finish the painting again, there is a chance Gakushu will never know who you are, and when you are gone, he will never know why either.

You lean back on the chair, watching as the sun shines in from the window and onto your hand.

Lifting it up, you watch as the sunlight goes through your hand, making it transparent.

"I always forget..." You mumble, your hand falling down and close your eyes.

I am already dead.

Third Person's POV

A few days later, when Gakushu comes in again, he finds (Y/N) concentrating on painting.

Surprised, he stands in the doorway, looking at her concentrated face, (E/C) eyes seeming to shine as she looks at the painting.

When she finally puts down her brush, he comes back to his sense. "(Y/N), you finally remembered what you wanted to draw?" He asks, walking over to her.

(Y/N) looks over at him, and somehow, a bad feeling rises inside of him when he sees tears glittering in her eyes.

"Shu, it is finished." She said quietly, touching the painting. "Do you know? The first time I saw you, this painting was about to be finished. But I destroyed it, because I can see the loneliness in your eyes. I was only thinking of staying here until it was gone, until you would tell me about your new friends, but after you did, I continued staying here."

Gakushu stays silent as he continues walking over to her until he realises that her legs are slowly disappearing into gold particles.

Noticing the shock in his eyes, she looks up, smiling gently, "As you can see, I am already–"

"Don't say it." He grits out, his fists shaking by his side.

"You are acting like a kid about to lose his favourite toy, Shu." (Y/N) laughs, but tears are already streaming down her cheeks.

"Don't go, (Y/N). Please don't go." He pleads for the first time in his life, reaching out for her, but his hand just goes past hers, only feeling cold air where her hand is supposed to be.

Smiling softly, she puts her hand on his cheek. "Gomen, Shu, I have to leave."

Before he can say anything else, her hand starts to disappear as well until the brush in her hands falls to the ground.

Gakushu sits on the ground, burying his head into his arms, crying silently.

Two years later...

After the graduation ceremony, Gakushu walks back into the school, stopping before a door.

He takes in a deep breath and walks into the room he hasn't taken a step in since 2 years ago.

Everything was still the same, except the girl he has liked was gone, and the canvas isn't empty anymore.

Walking over to the canvas, he picks up the brush on the ground, blowing away the dust and looks at the painting covered by a cloth.

He sits down on the chair, slowly pulling the cloth away to reveal a painting of a smiling girl in a white dress, sitting on a chair with a canvas in front of her and looking at a boy at the doorway.

At first gaze, he knew that the boy was him, and the girl was (Y/N).

Looking down, he picks up the letter sitting there quietly and picks it up.

At that time, all I have to draw on is the boy. All I have to draw on is someone who notices me. And you were the only one who did.

Arigato, Shu. For appearing in the last moments of my life.

**********

The door slides open, and Sakakibara looks in, grinning, "There you are, Asano. We are waiting for you to take a photo."

Gakushu looks over, nodding silently and stands up, walking over to him.

Looking back for the last time, he slides the door close.

On the chair, a piece of paper sits there.

Arigato, (Y/N). For letting me know what love is.
