I woke up feeling rejuvenated, I looked over to see Kendrick laying next to me shirtless. I knew what happened last night, no need to act stupid.
"Good morning babe" I mumbled into his chest.
"Morning" he said. I got up and went to the bathroom to do my daily hygiene routine. I pulled my hair up into a loose bun and throw on my Adidas sweatpants, blue crop top and my Bel-Air 5s and I grabbed my MK bag. Just as I was about to walk out my the room Kendrick sits up and asks.
"Where you going?"
"To the shop.. I'll be back in like an hour" I replied looking down at my Michael Kors watch.
"So you gone leave me with Jaya? " he chuckled sitting up
"Only for an hour. Besides yall have that Father-Daughter bond already" I said sighing.
"aight. love you "

"JAYA BABY! " Amera gave me a bear hug
"Amera" I squeezed her.
"So how's everything going here?"
"Great" she smiled. "How is Jayla?"
"She's wonderful, thanks for everything Amera." I reached in my purse and gave her a check for exactly Two thousand dollars.
"thank you Jay" she sounded like she wanted to cry.
"No problem boo, have you seen my mom?"
"She wasnt here since last week. Her and Michael been worried about yall for the longest." she walked over to the counter and gave me the recipt book.
"Oh lord . That means I need to drop by her house and see wassup" I flipped through the book and began calculating everything.
"So. I heard you go with Kendrick Lamar" she looked over at me.
"How? " I asked. Some clients began to walk in so I got my station ready. It doesnt hurt to do one persons hair.
"Its all over instagram."
"Honestly, I didnt know who he was until a few months ago. Girl you know I aint into rap. "
"Look who here now" Amera chuckled.
"Hey baby" Kendrick says walking over to me.
"Hi boo. Kendrick this is Amera. Amera this is Kendrick" I finally introduced them.
"I thought you was gonna be here for an hour" he looked over at the clock.
"I'm so sorry babe. I got caught up" I sighed
"I got a meeting I gotta go to. Its mandatory, so I'll see yall later aight" he kissed me on the lips and Jayla on the cheek.
"I love yall"
"We love you too" everyone in the shop said .
"Yall need to chill" I laughed.
"Girl he is fineeee. and if you dont want him I'll be his misses tonight boo" Khandi, one of my favorite clients rolled her neck.
"Sorry he's taken" I flipped my hair.
"Did yall do it already?" Khandi asked
"Khandi shut up! But really? Did yall? " Amera placed her hands on her hips
"Stop now, my daughter in here and im blushin" I said
"Jay put these beats on.." Khandi handed Jayla her beats by Dre . "Now tell us"
I chuckled, and told them everything that went down last night between me and Kendrick, there was a mix of "ooohs" and "ahhhs" and "girl you did thaaats" in the shop as I told my story to the girls.
"Is he better than Michael? " Khandi asked leaning in.
"On all counts.. yes" I began curling Sandretta's hair.
"Yasss. You did thaaat" Amera said in her best Tamar Braxton voice.

"Its best for you to start back touring and making music" my manager says sitting down .
"I cant hold off until one more year? " I asked with a sigh.
"I understand that you need to take a break from all of this. But you need to get back on the rode... Unless you wanna be like MC Hammer" he went on and on. How was I gonna explain this to Jaya man? She got a family, friends and shit.
"Its this girl man, I swea I love ha" I trailed off
"But she doesnt want to be involved with the industry? Dont she Dot? " he finished my sentence.
"Yeah b. This girl is the love of my life"
"Dot. there are a billion girls out there willing to be with you. . and if this girl aint tryna be with you or be there for you, you gotta cut her off" he shrugged
"I'll talk to her later about it"
"Dont let her hold you down man" he said
"Aiii I guess" I got up and gave him dap.
I already had enough. Just when I thought Jaya was mine forever I gotta pull this shit. Something gotta give..
