HARD ENOUGH

What Not to Do....

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing like crazy.
"Hello-" By the time I said anything else the person on the other side decided to speak.
"Good Morning Beautiful! I hope I didn't wake you up" A very deep voice said. I looked at the caller id but it was just a number.
"Who is this?" I asked rubbing my temples. "Oh I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jordan Wills" I heard him say.
"How did you get my number??" I said kicking Brad, who was sleeping on the other side of my couch.
"That's not important,sweetie. We have a date at 1 pm today at Sigàr. Just wanted to remind you. Come on time, love" he said and hung up before I uttered the next word.
"Jerk!!" I said under my breath.

"What's wrong?" Brad asked rubbing the back of his neck. "Guess who called?? Jordan Mills,the only heir of Will Inc" I said rolling my eyes.

"What did he say?" Brad asks with a weird expression on his face.  "Apparently I have a date with him at 1 today at Sigàr" I said moving my hands through my hair.
"You're going,right?" Brad asks laughing. I throw a pillow at him and say "Haha very funny" and get off the couch to walk towards my kitchen.

"I'm pretty sure Jaden gave my number" I said making coffee for Brad and I.
"Way to ruin our weekend" he says sitting on one of the kitchen stools.

" I've got to buy a few clothes today before you leave me alone to die and I need to forget about other shit" I say passing his coffee.

"I'll come shopping with you, drop you here and then go to Alicia's, she needs help with something" he said sipping his coffee. "Sounds like a plan" I said.

An hour later, we were ready to raid the stores all over New York.

After two hours of shopping till we literally dropped, it was 3 pm.

Brad dropped me off and left for his step-mom Alicia's house. I got into the elevator and smiled at the person next to me.

I walked to my apartment and opened the door. I closed the door and walked into my room dropping my bags down.

I walked to my fridge and noticed something on the counter. Flowers.

I turned around to see a man standing up from couch. I froze.

"You didn't even notice me,love."He said buttoning his suit.
I swallowed hard and grabbed a knife and  faced it towards him.
"Don't come close." I said taking steps back. "Oh sweetie! I'm here to tell you that you missed our date" he said. What the hell???
" How did you get in?" I asked as he walked closer to me. "I have my ways" he said.

He was tall and fit. He had hazel eyes and square jaw. I wasn't going  to fall for his charm.
"Get out!!" I yelled pointing the knife at him. He laughed and put his hands up. " I know you're one tough cookie" he said moving back. "I'm not gonna date you. Is that clear? Now,get out!!" I screamed. He was still smiling. Is he crazy??

He walked out of my apartment but not before saying "I'll be watching you".

I dropped the knife from my hands. I was shaking. What the hell just happened??

I fell to the floor scared by what he said and rubbed my hands all over my face. Then it hit me.
I ran into my room,grabbed my purse and searched for my phone.
I called the person responsible for this.

"Hello--" Before she could say another word, I blast out.
"How dare you, Jaden?!?! You've crossed your line this time!! You set up a date, gave that jerk my number and he some how got into my apartment!!" fumes were coming out of my ears.
She laughed " I told you that you had to go. He's a great guy and you owe me " Is she out of her mind??
"Who the freaking hell do you think you are?? Listen, this happens one more time and you face the consequences. And the last time I checked I don't owe you a penny. I work hard every day like a normal person " I say.
"Really, and I don't. You'll never get it do you? You are not a normal person, your my sister. Don't waste your time on nobodies" she says.
"Enough Jaden!! I'm telling you again know what not to do. Don't you dare try something like this again. I'm serious. Mind your own business" I say and hang up before she says some more crap.
I groan in frustration. I sit on the edge of my bed, trying to calm myself down.

I decided I needed some fresh air and grabbed my purse before I walked out.

I was walking on the busy paths. The weekends here were busier than the weekdays because all these people don't work here.

I was walking down the streets thinking about today's events. One question went through my mind: Why me?? "Karma loves you, Reid" I remember Lane saying last time we met after something similar happened.

I was breathing hard until I saw lights blazing in front of me. Someone grabbed me by my elbow and pulled back. I was against their body,eyes closed.

"Great,it's you again. Is bumping into moving objects your thing?" a voice said. I opened my eyes and looked at the person. I recognised his smile.
