You ran over to dave panicked. Your log out was not there and you could not feel the helmet on your head like you would if it was your own headset.
“What the fuck is going on” you said trying to pull or even feel the helmet off
“ dirk..dirk...i did not think much of it because it was a game but the trailer said you won't be able to leave unless you win” dave said
“ AND YOU LET US PLAY” you yelled at him
“ WOULD YOU OF BELIEVED ME IF I SAID THE GAME WON'T LET YOU LEAVE” dave yelled back
“ MAYBE IF I HAD INFORMATION” you yelled
“ IT WAS A GAME TUTORIAL THEY ALWAYS MAKE IT OFF BIG TO SELL ITS PRODUCT” dave yelled the tall grass behind him moving a bit.
“ dave” you said
“ NO FUCK YOU DO NOT BLAME THIS ON ME” dave yelled the bush moving more.
“ DAVE” you yelled as a biiiiiiiig praying mantis bug maybe 8ft tall peeked over the grass turning its head looking at you both. Its level read 67 with a little skull next to it level.
“ run dave” you said taking his arm really slow
“ what” dave said looking up as the praying mantis freezing.
The praying mantis snarled almost as you pull dave and sprint the fuck away. The mantis followed behind.
“ fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck” you said
“Shit shit shit shit shit” dave said
The bug was running full fucking speed at the both of you. As you both ran blind unable to see over the tall grass. You both ran dead smack into what looked like beetle with a shell. It screeched at you. Dave dashed to the side you followed as the mantis and the beetle clashed into a fight of who gets the prey. The prey being you both.
“ no no no let's not get caught like this let's leave” dave said pointing to the forest. You nod running with him out of the tall grass into the forest.
You and dave did not stop running till you both were out of breath.
“ i just wanna wake up man” you said sitting down to catch your breath.
“ i just wanna eat that” dave said flopping down
“ why am i so hungry” he said as you look above his head seeing a health bar and a few things under that. A blue smaller bar for mana you guess or something. Then a green which was energy to do shit you figure and a smaller brown bear that has a food symbol on the side. It was damn near empty. And then a yellow bar with Zzz next to it for sleep that was half way.
“ i think we need to eat. I think running or doing anything brings down our hunger bare and we eat to get energy and food we even have a sleep bar man. “ you said looking above your head to see your condition. you are a little bit off then dave but still getting worse.
“ fuuucccckkk” dave said rolling over.
The smell of something that smelt like fucking heaven filled the air. Your hunger bar dropped by 20 points.
“ brooooooo” dave said his dropping completely empty as he curled in pain from his stomach.
You picked dave up taking him to the smell seeing a cute little horse. The window was open letting the smell out.
You held dave who was in pain from hunger you could see his health going down by 2 points every few seconds. You went to the door knocking
“ hello??! Please help us I don't know what is going on” you said hoping they answer and they or he did. It was a smaller boy blue eyes black hair kinda a mess he was in a rob ish thing.
“ OH! Come in come in YOu both need to eat fast” he said just kind of seeming shocked as he pulled you in. when he did you saw another boy in the kitchen he was just covering up some some stew.
“ John are OH LORD” he said getting startled by you both.
“ jake they need lots of food please” john said pointing to set dave down at the table.
“ got it “ jake said getting a few bowls out getting some stew into them before he came over setting food down for dave.
John got a spoon full after you set dave down. The John kid started to feed dave you watched his hunger go up a few points .
“ you should be able to eat” john said handing the spoon to dave who just pigged put unable to help it. He was feeling starvation.
“ you eat as well” jake guy came over bringing you some stew as well. You nod thanking them eating feeling better.
“ are you guy feeling better?” jake said looking at the both of you once you both had eaten and were not hungry anymore.
“ yes thank you sorry we are new to all of this” dave said cleaning himself up.
“ we know your players” john said getting a wet rag for dave
“ how do you know” you asked
“ we are tutorial NPCs. well we are for higher level players. But i think we are the only tutorial NPCs left. Im Jake english and He is John egbert. I teacher master level weapons and john does master level magic/ spells. “ jake said looking at you both.
“ oh” you said standing
“ so you're not people” dave said
“ we are” john said gettiing kinda annoyed
“ you are not people people so you not people. Just thought there would be actual players not computers” dave said as john got extremely angry saying something as dave turned into a frog.
“ you know nothing of this game and i do not find it smart to insult the only people that could possibly keep you alive. We are people not just 1s and 0s. This is our world not yours so you are the odd ones out now you should leave “ john said pointing to the door as you and dave just suddenly found yourself outside the door as john slammed it.
“ WAIT WAIT HE IS SPECIAL NEEDS HE CAN NOT CONTROL HIMSELF “ you said banging on the door holding dave the frog in your hand.
“ please help us I just wanna wake up for this” you said getting nose answer. The window that was just opened closed and the curtains fell closed.
“....good fucking going dave” you said sitting and leaning on the door.
Dave simply just made a sad frog sound and flopped over on your lap.
