You took a moment to catch your breath behind a tree. You hold your sword and rest on the tree.
" DO YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN FROM AN ENEMY THAT CAN SMELL YOU" Jake yelled out from his tree as the large praying mantis slashed the tree in half.
" fuck fuck fuck," you said as your back got slightly cut. You stumbled forward as you turn around swinging your sword upward cutting off one of its limbs. The mantis screamed in pain as you get some distance between you both.
" IT'S RECOVERING KILL IT NOW" Jake yelled again.
" easier said than done," you said as you ran at it. The mantis looked at you and was going to swing its other arm at you but you were just a little fast. You cut its head clean off. The mantis proofed into some items on the ground and you see in the corner you got 30, 000XP.
Your level went from 9 to 14. Jake gave you high-level weapons to kill the high-level enemies so you level up faster.
You watch Jake jump down from the tree going over picking up the items putting them in a bag
"John will be happy about this he needed more of this," he said as he put some sort of gland away.
" so glad I can help you on your shopping trip," you said as you sit down and feel your back. The cut was gone
" you are fine all injuries vanish if you level up" Jake said
" well that's good" you said softly standing back up
" good that I let took you 40 minutes last time it took you an hour so that's progress" he said heading towards the house. Jake trained dave every other day and you every other day.
"you both will be trained tomorrow, " Jake said
" you both need to go up a single level and need to start working as a team. you are a warrior class and Dave is a rouge class who is faster than you. your attacks do more damage then his but if he gets his speed up he can do close to the same amount you can with a single attack. so you need to base your combat on your styles. you need your brother to watch your back and you his." Jake said walking back to the house
" that is nice but we still have 2 days cant we take a break?" you asked following.
" why you eat to get energy and health. you sleep 8 hours you are fine," Jake said as he walked into the house as you see Dave getting chewed out by John. on the days you don't train with Jake john teaches you how to craft potions. like stamina, health, and things along that deal.
" that is not the point jake," you said sighing
" none stop you both yell at us and tell us how fucked we are. I would like a single day where you didn't call me a fuck up along with Dave" you said sitting on the couch
" I do not lie," Jake said going over to John showing him the bag. you watched John get excited and take the bag going to go put the items away.
" what did you make dave," you asked Dave as he just kinda sighed
" a good way to kill myself, is what John called it," Dave said
" why do poisons have to be so close to the actual potions, " Dave said getting annoyed
" we are done Dave I'm tired of you wasting my materials, " John said going to clean it all up
" Sorry," Dave said as John pushed him out of the kitchen.
