Chapter 4: A night to remember

=======Ash's P.O.V.=======
We were all staring at the food menu and looking for something good to eat. I really missed Brock's fish stew, but at the same time also missing Cilan's awesome spegetti with the best spegetti sauce there could be on earth. I couldn't choose so I glanced at the person next to me who was a certain stunning honey blonde haired girl with crystal blue eyes. I couldn't help but to start staring at her. "God has she grown cuter, if that's even possible." I thought to myself.

I saw her starting to close her menu, probably finished choosing her food. I tried to look away quickly but fail as she caught me staring at her. She started blushing and looked away, probably trying to hide her blush. To be honest, I was blushing too, but had the mask to protect me from getting embarrassed.

After a few more seconds, I decided to get the spegetti because, well, it was a proper meal and I wanted how Cilan is doing in cooking his best dish. Then the waitress came and asked us for our orders. Gary chose to have some steak with 80% cooked. Misty wanted to eat fish, surprisingly, a water type gym leader eating her own favorite type of pokemon. Max and May both wanted smoked Krabby with noodles. Dawn wanted the Brock stew. Iris also wanted steak but fully cooked unlike Gary. Serena and I both wanted the spegetti, we looked at each other and looked away, blushing slightly. May and Dawn saw this and looked really jealous. "Guess Iris and Misty backed out of rivalry huh?" I accidentally muttered out, but loud enough for Serena to hear.

Serena's face looks confused for a moment but then realized, she was then in a what seemed to be like deep thought. After awhile she looked back up and smiled at me. I was a little taken back that she wasn't surprised that I said that, but then remembered, they know I could read minds.

While we were waiting for the food to come we decided to talk chat a little, but as usual the topic of Ash came up. I instantly became tensed and tried to rethink of a way to avoid this topic. But as I was thinking, I was interrupted by a question.

"Hey Aaron, have you met Ash before?" It was Serena, who looked into my eyes. Arceus, I really wanted to tell them who I really was, but I knew I couldn't so instead I said, "Yea, I've met him before, and battled him as he requested. Although I did beat him, I could see he had a lot of potential,"

Everyone looked surprised to know that I have battled Ash before, and won against him too! Then, they bombarded me with questions of Ash, like what Pokemon did you beat him with? What Pokemon did he use to battle you? When was it? Where was it? Etc etc. God, I really wanted to break the window and jump out, I hated lying, especially to my friends. Eventually our food came and God was I glad, I sensed Serena about to ask me to take off my mask and hoodie to show my face but lucky for me, the food came to rescue and saved my life. For now.

I managed to change the topic from me to each of their personal background informations. (I'm sure you all know their backgrounds so I'm not gonna explain.:P)

After awhile, I finished my food and said goodbye to them and left. But as I was leaving, I couldn't help but have a bad felling about leaving them as if sit was danger. My suspicions were confirmed when I heard a loud "BOOM!" Coming from the restaurant I had just come left. This loud voice finally got a certain stubborn yellow rodent out of my backpack tho and it ran to the loud explosion.

As I got there, all I saw from the scene was a few people wearing orange and red suits with their Pokemon beating up my friend's pokemon. I saw they finished off the last of my friend's pokemon and said, "Hand the blonde queen over!"

" Never in a million years!" All my friends yelled. I saw the grunts tell their Pokemon and charge up another attack which was hyper beam. I saw them all bracing for impact for the hyper beam.Without thinking, I teleported in front of my group of friends and sent out an aura shield to block the attack.

=======Serena's P.O.V.=======
I saw at least about 7 hyper beams shooting at us, I guess Arceus has decided that the time for me has come. I hope I see you in heaven, Ash. I then rethought of all the times we had fun, danger, sadness, everything that happened in my life. And finally, my hero, Ash. As the orange red hyper beam was about to reach us, we all braced for impact on instinct. But as we waited... 1seconds, 2seconds, 3seconds... Nothing happened. "What's going on here?" I thought to myself. I then opened my eyes along with everyone else, and we all gasped. In front of us and a hooded figure there was a blueish glowing shield surrounding us, protecting us from the hyper beams. There could only be one person who did this, "Aaron" I said out loud. We all stared at him. Then he disappeared into thin air but appeared behind the few Flare grunts and knocked them all out with aura spheres. By now there was a huge crowd around the fight and us. The people were taking pictures and videos of the grunts and Aaron.

I started smiling and eventually blushing with a tint of pink at Aaron. "He's so brave... Just like Ash" I thought to myself as I found myself blushing even harder. Dawn and May saw this and glared at me, but I didn't care.

=======Ash's P.O.V.=======
"Call the cops and tell them there are some team flare grunts here," I said to a random person in the crowd. The person then quickly took out their pokephone and dialed in the number.

"Team flare... What are they up to? I took them out 5 years ago didn't I?" I thought to myself in my little thought bubble.

"Pika pi" Pikachu said while pointing over to my friends. They were all staring at me in awe, widened eyes, with Serena blushing as usual. "Oh right, I'll take you guys to your room, it isn't save with these flare grunts around," I said to them politely.

"Yes!" Dawn and May both said in unison. I sweat-dropped at their excitment. I looked over at Serena and she just blushed. "Mind if we fly there? I'm really tired," Max asked me in a sleepy voice.

"Sure, Charizard, come on out!" I yelled out to the air as a blue light emerged from my Pokeball and gave a loud roar.

"So cool! A Charizard!" Said a voice from none other than Bonnie. We all sweat-dropped but got over it soon and everyone sent out their flying types. Serena didn't have a flying type Pokemon so she just stood there unknown of what to do. I saw this and decided to help her out. "You can ride on my Charizard with me if you want," I offered her nicely.

"O-ok, t-thanks Aaron." She said blushing madly. The other girls looked in jealousy, while the guys smirked at me, but then let the thought go and decided to go and rest.

We all got on our flying type Pokemon as Serena went on mine. As soon as Charizard saw we were ready, he took off into the beautiful, clear night sky, above the clouds. The others didn't follow us up here, so I guess they left us alone. I suddenly felt a pair of arms wrapped around me, I looked back to see Serena resting her head on my back. I grinned to my self.

"She's so cute when she sleeps, so peaceful," I thought while looking at her sleeping face. I had that thought for the whole ride. After a while, we finally arrived to the place they are staying in, I thought about waking her up for a few seconds but then did against the idea when I saw her cute, adorable face while sleeping. So I pecked on her forehead softly and picked her up bridal style into the hotel.

But little does he know, a her with honey blonde hair was grinning at him.

=======Serena's P.O.V.=======
"OMA OMA OMA HE KISSED MY FOREHEAD! Does he like me? I have to try to test him more often!" I thought to myself as I pretend to wake up.

"Aaaaaaammmm, oh Aaron? What are you doing?" I said trying to act the hole thing out. "Uh, well you fell asleep on my Charizard but I didn't want to wake you up, so I decided to carry you here... Hehe..." He said nervously, probably hoping not for a slap in the face. I giggled at him nervously talking to me, then I had an idea. I went up close to him and gave him a small kiss on the cheeks. My cheeks flared up in flames, and I was hoping that he was blushing too, but I couldn't see properly due to that stupid mask.

I stared at his eyes for a little more while,"Those eyes, they're just like Ash's, so beautiful." I thought while snapping myself out of staring at him. I then hopped away like a little girl.

=======3rd person P.O.V.=======
As Serena hopped away from Ash, there was only one thing on both of their minds, "This is a night to remember..."
