Beep beep bee-

"Shut up!" Signe growled wearily as she  managed to somewhat sit up and slam a fist down on her alarm clock, silencing it instantly.

She flopped back down in bed and rolled over on her side, groaning as she closed her eyes again in hopes to fall back asleep.

It didn't work.

She ended up lying in bed with her eyes closed for about five more minutes before he alarm clock went off again.

This time she switched it off, finally getting out of bed and stretching her arms high over her head with a yawn.

Once again she had a date set up, this one at Starbucks since it was a morning one. This was her tenth date in the same month since she wanted to find her colors.

When she was little, her mom always told her that once she found her soulmate, the world would completely change, and not everything would be black and white.

She still believed her even after her mom died.

She threw on what looked like a white blouse and a black dress, as well as a pair of black flats. She then quickly sped through her morning routine of eating breakfast, brushing her teeth and hair, followed by putting on her makeup.

She scooped her car keys off of the kitchen table before jogging out the door and getting into her car, driving as fast as she legally could to the only Starbucks in Denmark that was close to her, hoping that was the Starbucks her date would be at.

"I'll just have the usual." Signe hastily told the barista at Starbucks once she burst inside, spying her date sitting at a booth in the back with his own drink. He noticed her as well and waved at her with a friendly smile.

Once again I'm late for a date I planned, Signe thought in mild irritation directed towards herself as she walked over to the booth her date was sitting at and sat down.

"I'll have the usual." A man with faded green hair stepped inside. She didn't remember seeing him in Starbucks often, but apparently he came often enough to have a usual drink like her. His accent sounded different though, but she couldn't place it.

"Here you go." The barista handed the green haired man his drink with a smile, giving him a wink.

He nodded in appreciation as he paid the barista, accidentally dropping his wallet on his way out the door without realizing it.

"Wait!" Signe called out after him, quickly walking over and bending down, scooping up his wallet and offering it towards him.

"Thank you!" The man beamed as he took it, his fingers barely brushing against hers when he took the wallet.

The moment seemed to feel like forever as suddenly her world of black and white abruptly changed to various vibrant colors she didn't understand. Everything looked absolutely beautiful.

Then everything returned to normal as he walked away.

She stood there stunned for a moment, unsure if she should run after him or not.

"Signe, you okay?" Her date asked her Fromm across the room.

"Jerry? Yeah, I'm cancelling the date. I found my colors. Sorry!" Signe apologized hastily before running out the door after her soulmate.
