Emmanuel's point of view :D

I was on my way back to the Cemetery after hunting down a few of the Forsaken with Jesse, my partner and friend from back home. He was the first to know about the development of my powers because he had gotten them first. He's 19, stands at 5'10, and has shaggy brown hair with dark blue eyes. He has a sense of humor that you won't forget.

On the way home, he was telling me about how some of the Forsaken had gotten stronger, but they still weren't a match for him.

"Dude, it was kinda funny how the Forsaken talk all this mess, but they still get their asses beat," he tells me. "Like one of them had this weird power that could 'hypnotize' you into not fighting back."

I just laugh. "Did he try it on you?" I ask.

"Yeah he did, but you know me. I just pretended to be hypnotized, and when he got close enough, I just burst him into flames!" He smacks me on the arm and laughs.

We were passing by this alley when he asks "Emmanuel, hear that man?"

I stop walking and try to hear whatever he heard. "What are you talking about dude?" I ask with raised eyebrows.

He listens hard and says "There it goes again! You can't tell me you didn't hear that."

"I honestly don't hear anything. You're delusional. Maybe that Forsaken's power backfired and made you go psycho," I told him.

"I don't know man, but I'm gonna go check it out," he says. "I'll be right back, don't leave!"

I sigh and just sit down near the mouth of the alley. I have nothing to do but just wait for him to come back. That's when I hear something from inside the alley, sort of like someone crying.

I look back and forth down the street when I decide head into the alley and check it out.

I walk into the darkness and the light starts to fade. Reminds me of tunnels. I'm halfway through when I see someone slumped against the brick wall, but they're hiding their face. I couldn't tell if it was a guy or a girl, but their soft cry now sounds much louder.

They need my help, I thought.

I reached out and placed my hand on their shoulder and asked "Excuse me, are you hurt?"

In that split second, the skin began to peel off and reveal the sickly green skin of another underneath. Its face looked up at me and the eyes told me that this 'thing' wasn't human.

It was a Forsaken, and I was unprepared.

He smacks me across the left cheek and I can already feel the blood come rushing out while my body makes contact with the brick wall. I immediately get back up and begin to fight back.

"If there is someone out there that controls the skies, then give me your strength before the night diesl," I say under my breath as I always do before every battle.

"Don't waste your time boy," it spoke. "I'll be done with you in a few minutes."

I ignored the bait and just went for the kill. I started off with the wind power, crushing him against the brick wall and knocking the breath out of him. Then, I engulfed him in flames.

Though, all he did was laugh; he was a Greater Forsaken, someone I can't deal with.

Dammit Jessie, where the fuck are you? I thought.

He walked toward me as the flames began to die out, and he punched me in the gut, making me gasp for air and slump toward the ground. My right leg was stretched out and he stomped on it with his steel boots, breaking it instantly.
