"Hey Bianca! Aren't you friends with that Dragoneihr girl?" I heard someone asked Bianca, I'm a couple of feet away from them pero rinig na rinig ko sila, loud and clear. I've been experiencing this for awhile now since the day na dapat ay lilipat na ako ng school. Napilit ko sila auntie na magstay ng another year dito sa current school ko. They said a year before I turn 18 dapat nakalipat na ako sa Phantom Academy pero napilit ko sila na months before I'll turn 18 saka na ako lilipat. I want to know who I really am, and what I truly am. And to do that I need to stay where I am now, to see if I'm like these people, if I'm a human and also to prove them that I am a human and not some bloodsucking creature that only exist in myths.
But lately all my senses has been enhanced.. It has been hypersensitive. I can see all the pores on your skin microscopically. Even the dew on the grass in the morning, I can see it all.. I can see from hundreds of meters away.. I can smell even your dinner from last night even if you brushed your teeth one too many times. Unfortunately, I can also smell blood from a small cut, even if it's from a couple of classrooms away. I can hear everything, your mumbles, whispers, even your soft breathing.. I don't know why, and I don't want to know.
At first its disturbing and difficult to deal with. I kept on covering my ears, my nose and I stopped wearing my eyeglasses because my vision became clearer. Every one find it weird and treats me weirdly. But now, I'm becoming used to it.
"You mean Alierah? Yeah.. well sort of, why Mindy?" Asked Bianca. Oh so it was the girl called Mindy.
"Haven't you heard? She dumped Gio! As in Gio Wolf!" She exclaimed.
"What?! Gio? The school's heartthrob? The varsity captain? The oh so famous Gio Wolf?" Gulat na tanong ni Bianca.
So crush pala nila yun? Oo gwapo nga pero bastos naman. That's why I dumped him.
"Yes! Exactly! Masyadong nagmamaganda kasi. She's not even pretty compared to us!" Pag mamayabang nya at tinapunan ako ng tingin, alam kong tinignan nya ako kasi I can feel it, I can feel her eyes on me. Pero hindi ko naman sya pinansin at isinuot ang aking headphones at nagplay ng mga music, mostly from my favorite boy band, the BTS.
Even though malakas na ang music pero rinig ko parin na pinag uusapan nila ako.. I can hear it although faintly.
"I can't believe it. I've been making my moves on him since grade 8 and he never noticed me." Bianca said bitterly.
"But her? She's not even that pretty and she's so dull, look at her." She said while pointing at me.
"Ikr? She wears black all the time like she's attending all the funerals in the city." Said Candy.
I hate it when they're talking about me. Kung gusto nila edi kanila na. Kanilang kanila na si Gio. He's not even my type. He's nothing compared to that green eyed guy I met a couple of months ago.
Atsaka ano naman mali sa suot ko? I wore a cream sweater na crop and black high waisted knee-ripped pants tsaka black beanies at white high cut converse and red headphones. Oh hindi na all black ang suot ko pero pinapansin parin.
"Sabagay, kung si Kian nga walang napala nung niligawan nya si Ally eh, si Gio pa kaya?" Sabat naman ni Bianca.
Ayan nasama nanaman si Kian. Nakakainis. Wala na ba silang ibang paguusapan kundi ako?
"Yeah.. just the thought of Kian courting you is already a dream come true pero sya? Masyadong nagmamaganda kaya binusted si Kian." -Mindy
"Oo nga eh. Ano pa ba hahanapin nya kay Kian? Model, mayaman, football player, matalino? Diba? Catch na yun pero ang choosy nya parin!" -Candy
"Feeling mahaba ang hair."- Bianca said at papalapit na sila banda sa akin. Nasa bench kasi ako sa ilalim ng isang malaking puno sa gilid ng field sa may sidewalk.
"Uy wait girls! Ingat! Baka matapakan nyo ang hair nya, masyado kasing mahaba!" Natatawang sambit ni Mindy at nagsitawanan naman silang tatlo. That's it! Ibingsak kong binitawan ang hawak kong Vampires kisses na book at tumayo. Napatigil naman sila sa ginawa ko at natitig sa akin. Di ko pinansin iyon at isinukbit ang sling bag ko sa shoulder ko at sinalubong sila.
"Narinig nya ba?" Pabulong na tanong ni Bianca.
She's not very careful about her actions. Isang salita ko lang kina Auntie ay pwede nilang ikalugi. I'll make Auntie Aurora pull out their investment sa company ng mga Martins. I've known Bianca and her group to be one of the Queen Bitch here is school but never pa nila ako pinagtuonan ng pansin kaya wala akong pakealam sa kanila pero one wrong move lang nya ay mawawala ang yamang meron sya ngayon.
Natahimik syang nakatitig sakin habang palapit ako sa kanila.
Kinakabahan niyang hinawakan ng mahigpit ang kanyang handbag. Nakadress sya na pink, pink nanaman? Ew.
Nakita ko kung ilang beses syang napalunok habang wala namang pakealam sila Mindy.
Nang nasa harap na nya ako ay binigyan ko lang sya ng isang masamang tingin at dinaanan na sila.
"Pwah! Kinabahan ako don!" Pagbubuga nya ng hangin at pinapaypayan ang sarili.
"Gurl? Bat parang takot ka sa kanya?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Mindy sa kanya.
"Oo nga naman? Look at her! She's nothing but an eyesore and plus she's friendless kaya wala syang magagawa sa atin na dapat mong ikatakot." Pagdudugtong ni Candy. Ilang metro narin naman ang layo ko sa kanila.
"Her Aunt's company holds the biggest share in our company so if they pull out their investments then my family's company would be nada! Just the thought of me becoming poor is a nightmare !" Exaggerated na saad nya. Buti naman alam mo ang lugar mo. Patuloy lang ang paglalakad ko hanggang sa tuluyan na ako makalayo sa kanya.
"That's why I pretend to be nice to her. That's the only way para hindi kami mamulubi." She said as they began to walk away.
I always knew that she's just pretending. Every time na may dinner kami with them, she would act so friendly and ikinaiirita ko naman ito.

"Alierah? Why are you late?" Asked Uncle Philip. Kasalukuyang nagdidinner na sila ngayon.
"Sumaglit lang ako sa dati naming mansyon Uncle." Sabi ko sabay halik sa mga pisngi nila.
"Sumabay kana kumain." Pag aaya naman ni Auntie.
Naupo na ako agad sa harap ni auntie at nagsimula ng kumain.
"Ally, clear your schedule tomorrow." Ani Auntie Aurora.
"Why?" I asked habang dahan dahang minumuya ang pagkain.
"We'll visit the Phantom Academy." Napabagsak naman ako ng kubyertos na hawak ko.
"What? Auntie we've talked about this. I won't go to that school unless I'm already 18." I said habang tinitignan sila ng seryoso.
"I know Alierah. But you need to go there. You must inform them about your existence before they come after you. You know you're not normal and they might have sensed it already." Aniya habang taimtim akong tinitignan.
Coming after me? Why would they do that?
"Fine." Ani ko habang nilalaro na ang pagkain ko. Nawalan na ako ng gana.
Hindi na ako nagtagal at umakyat na sa kwarto ko at pinagpatuloy ang pagbabasa sa librong binabasa ko kanina.
