(A/N here's a surprise I was talking about. Another chapter!! It is Eurovision week and I'm feeling extremely generous for some reason so yeah have another one. Also regarding the topic of my OC Ireland, some of you stated your opinion about it and I'm very thankful for them. I've made up my mind and you'll see what it is when time comes. Also, aside from that kinda story about Ireland, I have decided to make another one. So 'Fairytale' will have two spin offs!! This one has a special date on which the first chapter will be uploaded so please stay tuned and try to guess what's it going to be about. And yes, the title was inspired by Svala and Iceland's song for Eurovision this year 'Paper'. Enjoy!~)

Berwald and Tino didn't return to the castle that night, but Mathias was convinced they would come back because, according to him, they can't survive alone out there in the world. Lukas and Emil had returned back because Emil was sleeping and he'll be very hungry when he wakes up so it'll be better to have food prepared then to search for it.

"Why did you do it? There were other ways out of that situation, you didn't have to kill them." Lukas asked, carefully choosing his words in order to not make Mathias angry.

"No, Lukas. That was the only way out. If you can't deal with problems you get rid of them. And that's exactly what I did. They were the problem, now they aren't anymore." Mathias said, not looking at Lukas.

"What did they even do? They didn't like the king so they rebelled. You could have just overthrown him and find another one. One everyone would have liked-" Lukas was cut off in the middle of the sentance by Mathias who grabbed his chin and made him look at him.

"Don't play with your luck, Lukas. You know I love you, but if my king orders so, I won't hesitate to hurt you." As he said that, he pulled Lukas into a kiss who, out of shock, almost dropped Emil who was sleeping in his arms.

If only Emil was sleeping.

"Took you guys long enough." That startled them both and Mathias accidentally bit Lukas' lip.

"Ow! That hurt, you stupid Dane!" Lukas yelled.

Emil jumped out of Lukas' hands to let his brother try to stop the bleeding. Man, does Mathias have sharp teeth.

Speaking of Mathias, he was panicking. He may have said that, if his king orders him to, he would hurt Lukas, but honestly, he couldn't do that even if asked. And it's not only because he loves him so much. It's also because Lukas is super scary when pissed. Never piss Lukas off. You're dead if you do so.

Luckily, Lukas wasn't pissed. Instead on his face there was an emotion that hasn't been on his face for a long while. Pure happiness. He was smiling. He was happy. And Mathias loved him. And that also made Emil cringe a bit, but he was okay. He just wasn't looking at food but his brother and his lover.

"Kiss him again, Mathias. Fix your mistake." Emil said.

And Mathias looked at Lukas as if asking for his premission. Lukas just smiled and pulled Mathias to himself and gave him a quite short, but meaningful kiss. It meant to Mathias that Lukas didn't hate him. And to Emil that they weren't going home soon.

But they did arrive soon enough thankfully. And then few minutes later the food was gone. Of course, Emil had eaten it all. But the problem was that he wanted more. Is that kid ever satisfied? How is he not fat? A bit chubby yes, but he's still somehow slim. Emil, tell us your secret.

Lukas had stepped out of palace for a bit because he forgot to water his flowers. He loved gardening so whenever he was feeling sad or simply bored he would take a stroll and admire his masterpiece. It was a trully beautiful garden. Small, but enough for him. A place of comfort.

And a perfect place for Tino to find him.

"Lukas." Tino called.

Lukas turned to face a young Fin, who was exhausted, hurt and obviously still shocked after what he saw in Stockholm.

"Tino! Where have you been? Where's Berwald? Come, I'll treat your wounds." Lukas said, walking up to Tino.

"You don't have to. I have news for you. Me and Berwald are leaving. And by leaving, I mean, we're leaving this place. And this union. I came here to ask you, do you want to leave with us?"

Lukas stood still. Tino and Berwald were leaving? Well, it was understandable after what happened just few hours before, but too Lukas just that wasn't enough. He looked at the castle then back at Tino.

"I can't leave. I have to be there for Emil. And besides, I wouldn't last alone without support. I need Mathias. I need his help to live." Je answered.

Tino smiled at him, understanding completely. He knew that even after a gazillon of fights, Lukas still loved Mathias and viceversa. He wanted his best friends to be happy.

"Okay, I understand. It's kinda disappointing, but it's your decision. This'll be the first time in a while that I would be alone with Berwald again. I'm kinda nervous about that." He said.

"Don't be. You'll be fine. I'm sure of it." Lukas said.

"You too. I'll write you letters. I don't think we'll have many chances to meet, but you're still going to be my bestest friend." Tino said and hugged Lukas.

"I'll write you too. See you again, Tino. Now go before Mathias sees you." And with the hugs and tears exchanged, Tino left to meet again with Berwald. The two have started their journey of troubles and hardships together.

In the meanwhile, Lukas had to tell Mathias that the two have left. And that wasn't going to be easy.

"They what?" Mathias asked.

"They left. They aren't coming back. That's the message I got." Lukas said, leaving out that Tino was the one who told him that.

"Are they nuts? They won't last a day in the world. They have nothing with them and don't even know how to run a country. Idiots."

"Well, it's already too late to do anything, might as well leave it there."

"No, we can't leave it there. This is too insane to be happening. We'll discuss this again tomorrow. Let's go to sleep."

And Lukas did as Mathias told him to, but not before giving Mathias a quick goodnight kiss and smiling.

Mathias smiled too, but not really at Lukas. He smiled at the window that was darkened by the magic of the night, knowing that Berwald and Tino are out there right now.

"Good luck Berwald. You're going to need it. Looking after a country is never easy." He said to the window and went to sleep.

Meanwhile, Emil was eating again.

(A/N I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit high when writing this last bit of this chapter, mostly from excitement that Belarus just qualified for the final. I love Naviband and if anything them qualifying made my day a lot lot better. I'm gonna root for them in the final. Go Belarus! Go Naviband! Comment who was your favourite in the Semi finals, I love comparing opinions. That was all I wanted to say.)
