(A/N Hello my beloved children, I have returned! It's Eurovision week and I kinda went too far with drinking (nothing alcholic don't worry, I can get drunk from water) and I suddenly got a good idea so there you have another update. I'm so proud of myself and this story. Anyway this month will be filled with finals for me so that means more updates! Yes, instead of studying, I write. I know it's silly, but this is my way of learning. So, enjoy this "angsty" chapter, you angst loving babies~)

Mathias - 9

Lukas - 9

Berwald - 10

Tino - 8

Emil - 4

(A/N I forgot to write their ages in last two chapters, that's why they are now two years older.)

A great illness appeard. The plague. Viking age ended and there came a new time, much darker then the previous one. Even the sky was extremely dark despite it being summer and that period of year when the northen countries got a somewhat warm weather. The atmosphere was off. Everything was off. But no one expected a thing and just continued to go on with their normal lives.

Mathias was the first one to notice something was off. After all, the people in his country began having really bad fevers and got these strange black spots on their body.

"What do you think it is, Lukas?" Mathias asked.

"I have no idea, but it seems that people in my country have cought it too. It looks bad. Really bad." Lukas answered.

"Do you think they would die from it?"

"Well, this is 14th century so a simple fever is deadly, possibly. (A/N you're a little bastard, Lukas, aren't you?)

Mathias looked down. He didn't want his people to die. It made him terribly sad, but he put on a brave and positive smile. He's the source of positivity, after all.

"I'll protect you from it. I won't let it get to you. I won't let you die before you marry me and even after." Mathias said.

"I know, idiot. You were always there for me and you will always stay with me. I know that already. Now shut your silly mouth and kiss me, I've been waiting for two centuries."

"Okay, okay, hold on. I forgot how to kiss."

"Idiot."

Lukas grabbed Mathias by his shirt and smashed their lips together.

Mathias felt like crying. He missed this feeling of Lukas' lips. The way they twitch a bit when Mathias tries to pull him deeper in the kiss. Despite being children, they sure know how to kiss the way adults do. It was a perfect moment.

"Ew!!! Quit making out!!" There he is, the partybreaker. Well done ruining their perfect moment, Emil. No one does it better then you do.

Lukas and Mathias broke apart and looked at that little monster they wanted to murder so badly now, but couldn't because he's cute and it would make the fans sad if he dies.

"What now, Emil?" Lukas asked rolling his eyes.

"First of all, you're terrible kissers and those sounds you make go on my little nerves. Second of all, I'm hungry. Third of all, Berwald is waiting for you guys. And finally, something is rotten in your state, Mathias." (A/N well said, my child)

"What's rotten?"

"How about you go check, idiot?"

"Emil, only I am allowed to call him an idiot."

"Sure, sure, you lovey dovey idiots. When are you getting married, so I could live alone?"

"Even if we get married, you're coming to live with me. I promised mum I'll take care of you when she died."

"What?! I can't live alone?! Oh my sweet apple pie if you say so, then there is no more life in store for me."

"Quit talking shit, how dare you mention apple pie in such a way? But now, where is Mathias?"

And really, he was gone. While the two of them were arguing, he disappeared.

"Probably went to kill Shakespeare for stealing my beautiful pun for his work. That bastard, he couldn't think of his own pun so he choose to stole mine." Emil you went two centuries ahead of time, come back to the story.

"I'm gonna go check."

"Wait, feed me first!"

"Go bother Tino!"

And Lukas went off. He knew where Mathias would go. It's where he always went. The shore. Mathias loved the sea.

He saw him standing and staring into the sea. He came closer and felt a weird smell coming from the sea.

"Lukas?" Mathias turned around.

"Yeah?"

"This is awful."

"What is?"

Silence.

"The fish is rotting." Mathias said as he placed a hand on his mouth and nose.

Lukas came even more closer, now standing beside him, and looked at the sea.

"Mathias." He said.

"Yeah?"

"This isn't fish..."
