a/n wowie that's a long title! Anyway to the story!!

Dux and Optimus are best buds, like Bulkhead and Wheeljack, except a sibling-type bond. Optimus would always protect Dux from mean mechs, which she tended to fall for. Optimus always told her who to stay from and where to go. Dux now was getting tired of being told what to do, she wanted to make her own mistakes, and learn from them. She knew she could handle guilt, and the femme was started to become more and more independent (girl power!!!). It has been a cyber cycle, and Dux is now 16,000 cyber cycles old. She wanted to be independent, but wanted no fights as well. Optimus had a team now, Team Prime was what they were called. They consisted of just Optimus and Rachet. He spent most of his time either fighting decepticons, or well, fighting more decepticons!! Any spare time he got he spent with Dux. She wanted more time star-gazing, instead of just silently getting angry at what Optimus had to say. She huffed and puffed, but never blew any house down.

Dux ran her anger out by running around town. She didn't say hello like she usually does, she just wanted her anger to go away. She jogged to a stop in a feild, and smiled. She loved feilds. She loved the silence, the time-slow-down calmness. She sat down, and closed her optics, just resting with the mettalic flowers. She breathed in, then out. She never needed to breath, but she enjoyed different smells of different locations. The air smelled of metal and sour-sweet energon.

"Dux where have you been? I have been looking for you for a while."

A mech said, startled.

"I have been running around Optimus, I left a note on the table. Didn't you see the note?"

she replied, and turned to Optimus (he asked the question if you're confused).

"I did not see the note on the table, I came straight here."

he replied. She nodded, and he sat down across from her.

"So how's Rachet?"

she asked.

"He's fine. Grumpy as ever."

he replied and chuckled. Dux giggled.

"You need to learn how to fight Dux, I want you on my team."

he said. She paused and looked at her servos, then said,

"No thank you Optimus, I don't want to fight."

Optimus looked at her then at her servos.

"Yes I know but I need more team members"

he said.

"You'll get team members soon enough, you're a Prime. Me? I'm just a simple coffee maker (She invented Cybertronian coffee, its energon and other substances).

she replied, trying not to get into a fight. She hated fights. She believed in life, not death. Optimus vented, and said,

"Alright, but I'm going to teach you right now."

"Wait what?!No you are not!"

Dux exclaimed.

"Yes I am now stand up."

he replied. She huffed and stood up. She thought for a moment that she was a door mat, but she changed her mind immediatly, she would not learn to fight. Optimus grabbed his sheild and said,

"Alright since you don't have any swords or anything, you will use your servos. Now clench your servos into a fist."

"No."

she murmured.

"Exuse me?"

he asked.

"No"

she said, louder this time.

"Yes."

Optimus replied.

"No, I will not learn to fight."

she said, confident.

"Yes you will."

he said. Soon the argument heated up with yes's and no's.

"Look I want you to be able to protect yourself when you need it."

Optimus shouted sternly.

"And I don't want to hurt you like I hurt my step carrier!"

Dux screamed, her optics turning purple at her words. She growled, then walked away. blowing huffs and puffs at everybot she passed. Optimus stood watching her walk away, spark-broken. That was like her little sister to him, and he hurt her and her trust with him. That was the day that Optimus learned to keep calm, and to never add to a fight.
