Part 11

Merida's POV

Rapunzel and her friend, Eugene I think that's his name, lead us to the palace. Has we enter the gates, the guard who let us though are surprised to see Rapunzel come back so suddenly. They snap back into action sent Eugene up ahead to tell the King and Queen, Rapunzel is back. My Mum and Dad will be worried too. I better say a message from here to say I am ok.

"Merida, are you ok?" Asked Hiccup.

"Eh, yeah, I was just thinking." I reply.

When Eugene comes back, he lead us to where the Queen is waiting to speak to us. The guard stops us at the door. 

"Rapunzel, the King wants to see you in the library. One of you at a time, you go first, the Queen, wants the full story from you." Eugene says pointing at me. The guard immediately gave way for me. Ugh, why do I have to go in first, it was Jack who made Rapunzel leave so quickly in the first place. Rapunzel leaves to go to where ever the Library and Eugene follows. 

"Alright." I say while walking though the door. The Queen is sat on the sofa, she looks just like Rapunzel but with brown hair about the same length as mine. I wonder why she hasn't greeted Rapunzel yet? See looks like the kind of person who would run up and greet her missing child straight away.

"Please call me Primrose What is your name and where are you from?"

"My name is Princess Merida of Dunborch and I'm from Scotland." I say. 

" Well, Merida, just tell me your side of the story and how you found Rapunzel. Well, met I understand you have been chosen as a guardian. The King and I have received a letter from Stoik the Vast telling us about this situation your in and why my daughter left." She says. 

Then whispers something to her maid who is serving tea.

"Your parents are worried you know. They are searching for you."

I told her why I had left home, how I meet Jack and about we all had been chosen to be a guardian. I told her Jack brought Rapunzel to Berk, where we then left for the North Pole. I also told her Rapunzel didn't know it was a long term thing when she left and I didn't either. Hiccup, Stoik's son only got the full details. Primrose sat quietly while I told her this. 

"I see. Jack, where does he come from? She asks, must be wondering why he just took her away.

"Er, I dunno. The North Pole I guess." I reply.

"So, Rapunzel, left on her free will. I am glad she wasn't forced. I lost her once I don't want to lose her again. Your Mother and Father will be worried, will send word you are ok. In the meantime you will stay here."

I wonder what she means by she lost her...

"Alright. If you like the others can come in and we can tell you the quest we are on." I say, thinking it would be a good opportunity to fill her in with all the details.

"Quest?" She says

Rapunzel's POV

I go to the Library with Eugene, my father is waiting there. It has a worried look but she smile when we enter, I go and hug him. 

"Rapunzel, we were worried."

"I know, sorry, father" I say feeling guilty I left without saying goodbye. I mean what was I thinking?! Leaving without saying goodbye. I must have been off my head.

"It's funny because Eugene said you were kidnapped, but only just today, Stoik the Vast chief of the hairy hooligans, has sent a message about how you had chosen to be a guardian." He says.

Ok, so he knows about that good. Now I have to tell my father I need to go into the old room and leave him and Mother again. Great. 

"Rapunzel, just out of curiosity, why did you come back?" Asked Eugene giving me the perfect opportunity to ask Father about letting me in the old room. 

"Well, it funny you should mention that, because I need access to the old room. It has a scroll and key in it, that the guardian's need." I say with a slight cheeky tone.

My father thinks about what I just said for awhile before replying.

"Well ok, but you are staying here until your Mother and I have talked this . business over. Also, Merida's Mother and Father are coming to this over too." Says my Father in a gentle voice.

"Ok, that's fine. I don't think we are on a time limit anyway." I say.

"Now, go and see your mother, she is waiting to see you." He says.
