Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons - Hidden Keys and Treasure

Part 9

Jack's POV

Rapunzel and I made our way to the dinning area. I see Hiccup with a lot of books, I guess he went to the library. Merida is asking North if he can get one of his yetis to get Angus because it will make her much happier.

"Good book?" I ask Hiccup as Punzie and I walked over to him.

"Yeah, it is a book about the quest, we are about to go on." He replies.

"Yay!" Shouts Merida. Probably North just gave in to her. 

"Hey, have you found what powers you have yet? Rapunzel ask her.

"I have a fire power, but what it is I have no clue." She replied.

"Thats why you have to figure it out." I tell her.

While everyone is eating lunch North says he will read the first riddle of the quest, after lunch. I guess Punzie, Hiccup and Merida have had most of the morning practicing  their powers so he wants us to know the riddle now rather than later.

Just as we had finished lunch the yetis brought in a box inside it North took out a a scroll. It must have been very old. He says on it the letters will rearrange into the first riddle. 

The letters before were the list of the current season guardians. That must mean there were guardians of the seasons before a long time ago.

"Right, I will now read to first riddle" North tells us. 

"In four towns the key is hidden, to open the secret treasure that holds the power.Your first key is to be found below a palace, in a room only the King may enter. There lies the key with the second clue."

"Boy, this is gonna be hard. It could be in any kingdom!" Says Merida annoyed that the riddle is so hard.

I wonder which kingdom it is in.

Hiccup's POV 

Everyone is quiet thinking of what it might mean or which kingdom it is in. I think about it for a bit then start reading the book on the quest again while everyone goes to practise their powers or trying to get their powers working. 

Then I read something that would be very helpful on solving the riddle.

Merida POV 

Everyone was watching me doing weird things to try and get my powers working. They were laughing because I did weird move after weird move. I didn't mind that much because I was to busy trying to get a flame or fireball.

"Red, can you stop doing that before I die laughing" laughed Jack.

"Hey!" I snap clicking my fingers. Angry that he called me Red. I really hate that nickname.

I rub my hand together in a final attempted to make fire, when I open them there is a fireball forming in my hands.

I cry out joyfully and flick my hands in the air. I let a fireball go upwards and it hits the ceiling leaving a burned mark.

"Er..oops" I say half smiling and turn to my normal self.

"You bet, hairball" says Jack. I formed a fire ball again and shot it at him and he quickly stopped it with a icicle.

"I am going to find Hiccup and tell him." I say.

I run to find Hiccup. I find him just coming out of his room.

"Hiccup, I found my power." I say grinning while making a fireball.

"That's great. I want to tell the others something. Lets go to them." Hiccup tells me.

Hiccup's POV

"So? What is it?" Asks Rapunzel. She must know I am about to talk about the riddle. 

"Ok, I have pretty much solved the riddle" I start telling them. 

"So, where is the key?" Says Merida impatiently.

"In the book about the quest it said that the four riddles to each of the four keys are to do with the four guardians of the seasons." I tell them. They just just give me a blank look me wondering why that is helpful then Rapunzel starts to smile.

"Oh, Hiccup is saying that the palace it is talking about is my palace or Merida's." She explains to them. I all let out a 'ooh right!'

"Well done, Hiccup." Says Jack while patting me on the back. "So which palace is it in then?"

"Rapunzel's" says Merida."Firstly, my home is classed as a castle, secondly if there was a secret room my brothers would have got themselves inside it already. So it's Rapunzel's home."

"Yay, I get to see my family again!" Says Rapunzel excitedly.
