ELIZABETH
I didn't know where I was going. I kept my head down as my running phase fastened. Around the corner? Left? Right? I don't know where else to sprint. Wherever it is, all I had in my hazy mind was that I needed to get away from the king. I tightly closed my eyes and shook my head to tear off the craze, but as soon as I opened them, it was too late to stop my track. A thud was heard. Surprisingly, I didn't feel the floor bumping against me in that cannoned rumpus.
There was a body in front of me when I felt a sudden slam that caused me to fall, but all to which an arm caught my waist and prevented me from hurting myself further. At first, the impact made me close my eyes expecting I'll be greeted by the slamming of my body directed to the ground, but a pair of bright blue eyes reflected upon mine. It was truly one of the most beautiful shades of blue I have ever encountered.
"A lady in distress, my. Are you alright?" I was panting, filled with panic, and shaking from the thought of getting caught by the one I was trying to get away from. I look at my back, afraid that he's just behind me already. What if the king followed me? Had he caught up? I don't know what to say to him yet.
When I saw there was no sign of anyone following me, I turned my head back to face the person whom I accidentally ran into. A slight blush crept across his face realizing how close we are in this instance, and so is mine. However, this man in front of me, was like a calm and elegant piece you couldn't even compare to anything else. All of a sudden, I didn't know what I was thinking anymore, with blurry and teary vision up ahead.
"Hey, hey, I'm not going to hurt you. Breathe." He said trying to calm me further down from my panic and out of breath breathing.
I inhaled, trying to keep phase with my thumbing heart and increased tension in my nerves, in addition to the many thoughts traveling across my mind. For a moment, he kept caressing my shoulders and giving me comfort while I'm looking down trying to keep my cool and pulling myself together. But when I look back up to his eyes once more, it's as if he was poured with a bucket of ice and water from his position, now that he saw a complete look on my face. With very little space, I get to follow the perks of shades in his eyes which are in a state of addled, yet with so much beauty.
One last heavy breath and I finally caught up and calmed down. His hands are still over my waist to the back and supporting me too comfortably, while I stood near his incredibly attractive feature. Obvious as it looks, he's like a statue now stoned in his place. I tried to back away a little but his grip on me was tight and almost as if secured enough, sure not to let me go just yet.
"I'm sorry," I said trying to shake myself a little out of his hold. trying to push him off on his shoulder even just to move him slightly, though it looks like he has no plan of hurting me nor letting me get out of his embrace too. His eyes are an epitome of a person who caught a dead spirit in action or has witnessed a deceased person coming back to life. He's too baffled. He was still in the work of deciding on which example he looked best, while still and obviously, drowning me in his sky land of ocean eyes.
"Who are you?" He finally talked, pulling me closer to his chest, as if it were possible enough, considering the dense gaps we have for each other. He's analyzing my features as if he was memorizing them for the last time he could ever see a glimpse of them. He sounded almost like he was hoping for a specific answer from me, as those eyes speak and glistened with spark and curiosity. I gulped before answering-
