The rest of the week was pretty much a blur. The same thing kept happening. Run into Jason and his squad, everyone looking at me, people that I don't know randomly coming up and saying hi to me. Tonight's our second date and I'm a little excited for it. I wonder where he's going to take me next. I go to my locker and as soon as I open it, I see Jason coming toward me with a yellow tulip in his hand. My favorite.
"A beautiful flower, for a beautiful lady." he says as he hands me the tulip. "How did you know that yellow tulips are my favorite?" I say as I smell the tulip. "Well you said that you don't like roses, so the next thing I thought of were yellow tulips." he takes my hand and then I immediately let it go. "I don't want people staring." I grab the textbooks in my locker for my next class that he just so happens to be in too. Geometry. "Everyone's already staring. It's no use in fighting with me on this one, Martin." he shuts my locker for me and starts to walk with me to class. "Here, I'll take those." he reaches out for my books, but I accidentally drop them. Just thinking about his hands being near mine makes my fingers tingle. So bad that they go kind of numb. "I'm sorry Jason, I didn't mean to drop them, they just kind of slipped." He laughs a little and then picks them up. "Don't worry about it." he shifts the textbooks to his other arm and we keep walking.

After Geometry class, Jason decided to carry my books again and walks me back to my locker. Lunch time. "So where do you usually sit?" he says as he puts the textbooks back into my locker. "I usually sit with Zoe. We're about three tables down from where you sit, I think." I shut the locker and put the lock back on it.
"Mind if I eat lunch with you guys?" he puts his arm around me as we walk down the hallway to the cafeteria. "Yeah sure. I guess Zoe would like more people to sit with us." I laugh a little. When we arrive to the table, Zoe is already there. "Hey Jason, how was practice? I saw you take that nasty hit today." she says as he and I take our seats next to each other. "Oh it's okay, my arm just hurts a little. I'll get over it by the end of the day, so it's nothing to be worried about." I take out my lunch box and start eating my food. "So, Jason, where are you taking Savannah tonight?" I look up at Jason after Zoe asks that. I don't know where he's taking me either.
"It's a surprise." he says as he winks at me. I take another bite of my sandwich. I actually love surprises. "Can't wait." I take my trash and stand up. "Oh, don't worry about that. I'll throw it away for you." Jason says as he stands up with his trash and takes mine. "Thank you." I sit down and then watch Jason walk away. By the time he gets back, he's already gotten about 75 greetings from random people walking by him. "Are you used to that kind of stuff?" Zoe asks as he sits down. "What stuff?" he laughs. "Everyone greeting you." I cut in. How could someone be used to that kind of stuff? "Oh I mean, yeah I guess. I don't really notice it." I guess that's what happens when you're popular. You get used to the things that happen every day. I don't think I would get used to it. I only like knowing a few people. The bell rings and then Jason walks me to my second period. I guess I could be

After school I pick Belle up from middle school. "Hey Belle, how was your day?" I say as she opens the door and hops into my car. "It was school. You know how it is." she buckles her seatbelt and I drive away.
We get home and I rush to my bathroom. It's 5:00. I take my shower and then fix my hair. I decide to curl it this time. I get dressed in a light pink skirt and a grey long-sleeved crop top. I check the clock and it's 6:30. Time to wait.
At 7:00 my bell rings. I open the door and see Jason standing there, holding out yellow tulips. "Thank you, they're very beautiful." I say as I take them from his hand. "Just like you." he pulls me towards him and then kisses me on my cheek. "Jason, you know I don't like cheesy things." I invite him inside real quick and go to the kitchen to find a vase. "I can't help but tell the truth." I turn to look at him and I just noticed how nice he looks. I look away and fill the vase with water, and then put the tulips in. "Mom, I'm heading out with Jason. I'll be back before 11." I call out in the direction towards my family's bedroom. "Okay honey, be safe. I love you. Text me when you get there." I run up to my room, grab Jason's varsity jacket, and then head out to his car.
