Nicole and I pulled into what we could call home. "Welcome to your new home" I said as I was getting out the car. "Palm trees and Heat. This is something I can get use to."
Three hours later she was damn near moved in with what she didn't have. Most of it was her clothes. She made sure she packet her car up with as much as she could. She was getting out the shower.
"I need a drink" she said as she plopped down on her bed.
"When is this interview?"
"Tomorrow 9:45AM."
"Okay well good thing I have a business outfit in there."
"Yeah girl It's a real nice job, it pays the bills"
"Thank you again!"
"No problem! Now that you're settled, I'm going to find us some food because I'm starving."
We ate or food as we both woke up the next morning, I worked a half day so I was getting off at noon. I walked into the Office building where Nicole followed me I suggested she sit in the lobby and a Supervisor was going to come and get her.
12:00pm Noon.
"Congratulations Nicki." I said to her I knew she was texting her brother. I glanced at her phone.
"No, thank you. You're so clutch, I'm thankful to have some cash flow."
"I told you since freshman year of college. I had you! You helped me!" Nicole was my back bone we both graduated three weeks ago. I moved back here and landed a job. I seen they were having multiple hiring fairs so I slipped my girls application in there and BOOM, she's hired. 😊
"Can we go out for brunch. I want some breakfast."
"Sure. What you want? Waffle House?"
You know that's what I always want." She laughed as we both got in my car and pulled off towards the food !
I smiled.
