I walked to my car as I seen a sheet of copy paper on my window. I grabbed it before putting my purse in the car. I scoffed as I smiled a little.
"Amira" I spoke.
"Yes lady."
"The guy who I was talking to on the Cereal aisle, Chrisitan. He gave me his number." I laughed that was bold but weird that he knew where my car was. We loaded the groceries and went back home. How Amira found this 2 bed room 2 bath home I don't know but it was good and clutch. Our back yard consisted of a balcony with a screen around it we shared a pond with ducks.
"And then said on the paper also, I'll see how long it takes you to text me, with a smiley face." I laughed. It was a kind gesture. To be honest I did want his number, but him cutting me off turned me off from his fine ass!
"Well that's cute! I can't wait to meet him!"
"Meet him?"
"Yeah, you know you going to text him."
"Why do you think you know everything?" Amira thought because she was four days older that she was always right 🙄. Puh•lease!
"Because I do" see what I mean. Irritating. Six minuets later we were pulling up to our house. We brought the groceries in and put them up. I took a shower and changed my clothes. I was now sprawled crossed my bed watching The Godfather. 4:29pm. I looked at the paper that Christian placed on my car with his number.
'He was fine as hell Nicole, you don't see too many fine ones.' I spoke to myself. 'Just go ahead and text him.'
I said to myself again. I typed his number in and composed a new message thread.

It's Nicole from Walmart.
To: Christian

I texted him, i out my phone on the charger as it went off again.

"Oh. The Jackson American Dream is on" I pressed the enter button on my remote.

So the cutie has texted me. I must have left a good impression. 😊.
From: Christian

If you say so. What's really up though? You seen me before or something?
To: Christian

Yeah actually. 😊
This may sound crazy but you were dressed really professional few weeks ago, and I seen you in Waffle House.
From: Christian

And today, you just out the blue run into me.
To: Christian

Yes. Pretty excited actually. You're beautiful. Can I see you?
From: Christian

I paused as I read the message again. I made a face. 'He don't even know me, this is weird."

Christian (4)

I looked at his name on my phone as it vibrated. "Amiraaaaaaaa!"

"What?" She yelled from the hallway.

"Ummm I'm about to have company."

"Walmart guy?"

"Yeah. I mean besides you I don't know anybody might as well make friends with him."

"Okay. I'm your friend. Vent to me. I'll listen." She left my room and said she was going to the gym and then to see her mom again. I told her okay. As I went back to my phone.

👀.
I hope
I didn't
scare you off.
From: Christian.

I laughed.

No. I was talking to my roommate. You can come over.
To: Christian.

He said okay as I texted him my address. He asked me did I smoke and I told him yeah. This was about to be a cool little evening. I took a shower 🚿 and pulled my hair into two buns. I grabbed my jeans and a had on a FAMU Alumni tank. I was in the middle of fixing some hamburger helper when I got a knock on the door. It was Christian. I unlocked the door, as he greeted me with a smile.

I smiled unexpectedly. "Hello Christian."

"You look nice. And it smells good in here." He said complimenting the smell from the hamburger helper and garlic bread that I had finished cooking.
"You cooked this for us." He said as he took his shoes off. I went back to the front door as I seen a '488 Ferrari outside that was white and black. I looked back at him and looked at the car. That was a half a million dollar car. But then I thought. I do live in Miramar and Miami is definitely my next door neighbor.
"What you looking at lady."
"That's your car."
"Yeah, and answer my question."
"Yes I did cook this for us. We about to smoke and I know we will be hungry.
"Thank you for the food." He prepared to roll up. He rolled three fat ones. I thought he would ask me to roll but he didn't. I fixed our plates as he caught me looking at him. Even though he was in his chill clothes he was still looking good. Real good.
"Thank you for making my food. Thank you for feeding me really."
"It's a kind gesture I do when I smoke."
"Well I'm about to appreciate this kind gesture. Where you from." He asked.
"I'm from Tennessee, but I've been living in Florida since I was 18 when I went to FAMU."
"So how did you get here again since you a graduate."
I huffed.
"Let's just say that I relocated, kinda had a job so I'm here." We smoked the blunts on the back deck that i had. I appreciated the view of the pond that was out there. I watched the ducks.
"So what do you do?" I asked him.
"Pharmaceuticals"
I rolled my eyes. "Drug dealer. Figures your car. Why you after me?"
His phone vibrated three times as I seen a females name with some cute emojis. She seemed mad, those paragraphs were large as hell. I turned my head as i took three hits of the blunt then started coughing uncontrollably.
"Uh huh! That's what you get being nosey in my phone. I seen them eyes. Shorty you don't even know me and you jealous as hell."
"Who said I was jealous. You reaching lil daddy."
