Making sure that Nicole was straight I made that my priority. I know she didn't have family down here so I was going to make sure I could feel that void that she has for her family, the only happy place was her brother Justin.
"Justin you need to call them then. I can't do nothing in regards to you being sick and I'm not physically there. You have to call the doctors office and set an appointment. It's your PCP."  I laughed she was like a mother to him but she was the sister. It's cute.
"Well Justin that's it right there your dehydrated. How you going to play football and you drinking kool aid."
I laughed. 15 minuets later she was off the phone and sat down beside me. I was sealing her blunts.
"Why you always rolling up for me. I know how to."
"I don't care. When is your next off day?"
"Not until this weekend. Why?"
"Just asking."
"Have you signed up for graduation?" She asked me.
"It's not until December."
"But early sign ups starts today." She poked my cheek as I smiled. She's so corny.
"I'll sign up tomorrow. I don't have nothing to do but street shit anyways." She got up from me as she went in the kitchen.
"As long as you leave it on the side of town your on and don't bring it here."
"You always say that."
"I mean it."
"I won't."
A knock came upon her door as she walked to the door and looked through the peep hole. "Oh my gosh. It's my Bestfriend from college!"  She opened the door. "Trina, your fine ass!"
"No your fine ass! You getting thick. What you been doing?" She said as she glanced at Christian.
Alicia shared a smile. "Girl don't even! He's just my friend." She looked at me as I returned the smile.
"Come in. Why you in my neighborhood?"
"Because ma'am you have been the hot topic in the streets boo."

Trina, she was a baton and flag girl in college, they met their freshman year at FAMU.
"How am I a topic?"
"Your ex boyfriend, my cousin. He don't like the fact that you messing with 'the enemy'."
"How is Christian an enemy? What did he tell me when I asked him about Janelle.? He told me well babe you had it coming sooner or later. That's what he told me."
"Street shit baby girl you know, but have you talked to him."
"I haven't talked to him since the day we broke it off and I really don't need to see him."
"He came by my house mad as hell because you messing with Christian." I laughed.
"A threat to him because I have his ex girlfriend blushing over me. Score." I smiled as I winked at Nicole earning a grin from Trina that I was feeding into big time by returning the same grin.
"The both of y'all need to quit."
"What my friend is smiling i can't be happy?"
"It's not even like that and plus he has a girlfriend?" My neck jerked giving her a wtf look. Why would she say that.
"I don't"  I walked passed her and in her room leaving her and Trina there to talk.
"What's really going on with you and Christian."
"Nothing, we just met he's the only one I know in Miami besides you and Amira. I have no male friends. He's the only one. He came to me I'm not gonna shut him out."
"Yeah and you also know he's in the streets, like deep in them."
"You warning me? Christian's a cool guy so far, I just met him Trina, he haven't brought that drama to my life."
"Yet.."
"Wow. Really Trina, yall really live that street life-"
"No. Listen to me" she scooted closer to my ear.
"Savage is brewing baby, he don't like the fact that you messing with Christian. He's trying to take Christian's territory."
"What does that have to do with me? He's fucking Janelle!"
"Be careful sis you know Ima keep my ears open. Savage is dangerous."
"Christian got me though."
"I got what?" She jumped from hearing my voice.
"N-nothing-"
"I'm about to leave, I'll call you when I get home." Trina said as she gave her a hug. I walked around to make sure her door was locked.
"What was that about? I got you.." I looked at her and grabbed my other phone that was alerting me of a text message. The streets is calling me I thought to myself.
"It's nothing."
"Okay, lie to me again when I ask you tonight and it's gone be your ass." I walked out the house getting in my Ferrari headed to the trap.
