Hermione was preparing their breakfast when Rose suddenly popped up. She nearly dropped the bowl she was holding.
"Oh Rose, morning baby!" Rose suddenly hugged Hermione.
"Mommy mommy, I want to go to the ice cream shop." Rose pleaded.
Hermione smiled and kneeled to face Rose. "Okay later. After breakfast." Rose hopped happily as she chanted 'I scream for ice cream!' Hermione just smiled and poured the cereal on the bowl.
Rose couldn't stop squealing out of enjoyment inside the car. As Rose saw the big ice cream statue of Deli's Ice Cream Delights, her eyes twinkled and her little lips formed a big smile.
"Mommy, I'm so excited!" Rose announced.
"Obviously." Hermione laughed.
Hermione just realized how big Deli's Ice Cream Shop has changed. It became bigger like never before. She remembered when Ron and she used to eat ice cream there while they were children. 'Why am I still remembering him? Erase Erase!' Hermione slightly shook her head.
Hermione ordered different flavors of ice cream for Rose which made her little girl very happy. Suddenly, Rose stood up.
"Mommy, I'll go to the bathroom. Wait for me, okay?" Rose said.
"Okay, be careful baby." Rose ran towards the rest room.
Fifteen minutes had gone by and Rose wasn't with Hermione yet. She was starting to get worried. Rose is a smart girl, but she's not really into remembering places. Hermione stood up quickly. 'Ah, Deli really upgraded.' She searched for Rose everywhere. She went to the bathroom, the garage, and back to the shop. Suddenly, she saw Rose's back. She smiled but it faded away when she saw a very familiar man talking to her daughter.
"Shh. Stop crying little girl. I'll bring you to your mother. And I'll buy you another ice cream." The man said.
"Really Mister?" Rose said while sobbing.
Hermione's eyes widened in disbelief. 'Is that...?'
"Rose come on!" Hermione said keeping her eyes away from the man in front of her child.
"He—Hermione?" The man smiled to her but she didn't look at him. Instead, she held Rose's hand and prepared to get out from the shop.
"Mommy! Where are we going?" asked Rose.
"Home." Hermione looked at Rose, brows furrowed.
"Why mommy? We didn't finish our ice creams yet." Rose face saddened as Hermione said 'no'. As they walked out of the shop, the man stopped her by holding her right arm.
"Hermione, can we talk?" the man announced.
"What are we going to talk about? A—and besides, DO I KNOW YOU?" Hermione replied while rolling her eyes. Seconds later and they were out of sight.
Ron couldn't get the little girl's face out of his head as he lay down on his bed.
