With Bill at Brooke's House

Bill was sitting in Brooke's living room sofa, having seen the new HFTF show on TV. After that, he was nursing a drink, lost in thoughts.

He wasn't really surprised on the outcome of the show. He could recognize how perfect Steffy's and Thomas' strategy had been. They had timed it just right and he wouldn't be surprised if he learned that it was to get back at Hope's line. The girl was sure to be disappointed that she wouldn't get all the attention from now on.

Oh, the Logans were taking the full hit of Steffy's wrath. He'd always known she was devious but this, he would've never thought of this one.

Although he was in love and living with Brooke, Bill couldn't bring himself to sympathize with her family. This was the mother of his future grandchild and there was no question on whose side he was going to be.

Not to mention it benefited him greatly. Katie was sure to favor her niece's line over Steffy's and Thomas' in term of coverage in the Spencer magazines. That was exactly what he needed to show the board of Spencer Publications that she was in no way fit to run the company.

On another matter, he still hadn't heard from Liam which meant that he didn't know how things went with Steffy. He could only hope that he had played things right for the sake of the baby. Steffy had a strong mind and his son had always had a difficulty dealing with her.

When Steffy had her mind set on something, getting her off it was next to impossible. So, his son must have done something unforgivable if she didn't want to get back with him for the baby. Bill knew his son and he would bet everything he had that Hope had played a big part on Steffy's decision. When it came to that girl, Liam became nothing more than an idiot. The two of them never lived in the real world when they were together. Honestly Hope was still living in fairytales, believing things to be either black or white. That was what he detested the most about her: her high standards. Honestly, had no one ever taught the girl that no one is perfect in the world?

Well, he could only savior Steffy's victory for now. He would have liked to be a little fly and see the reactions everyone got back at Forrester Creations. He had missed that but maybe he could go and see the damage for himself.

With Liam at His House

While he was the subject of many people's thoughts, Liam was secluded in his house, sitting in the dark and drowning his sorrow in his father's favorite beverage.

Things had gone from bad to worse and he didn't need anyone to give their opinions on the matter. His entourage was quite divided where Steffy was concerned and he wasn't in the mood to hear any of it hence why he was sitting alone with his own thoughts.

From now on, there was nothing he could do except think: think about how things were going to work out concerning his child, well Steffy had that part covered so he had to wait and see. He was left with the regret over knowing that he would miss most of his baby's life. Sure she had promise to let him see it any time he would want but that wasn't the same as being there every day: he wouldn't be there to cradle it and sooth it every time it would be upset; he wouldn't get to wake up in the middle of the night to its cries... god he didn't even know what gender it was and that was all his fault!

He remembered one time Steffy had promised him she would always be there for him, be his friend and support him regardless of their relationship. Maybe he had abused it, maybe not. The fact was that now she had a greater responsibility and Liam wasn't her priority anymore. She wasn't going to place anyone, not even the father over her child and he was proud of her for that.

Liam knew he wouldn't be able to hide for long and he had every intention of putting the time he had to good use. He had turned his phones off but that wasn't going to keep people off his back for long. He just wanted to take everything in before facing the outside world again.

At Forresters Creations

Three weeks later and things seemed to have gotten worse, at least for FC and the Logans. They were accumulating the promotions for HFTF but nothing worked. TPS seemed to always be ahead of them, no matter their plans.

There had been an attempt to steal the diamond and the publicity that generated from that had worked in their favor but not for long. Now they were working day and night for new ideas and collections, anything that would take them on top of TPS.

The Logans' personal life had become as much of a disaster as their work life, especially for one Hope Logan. Now more than ever her wedding had been postponed. She and her fiancé barely talked anymore and she was frustrated; frustrated that she couldn't get Steffy out of her life. As much as she tried to see the brunette to give her a piece of her mind, she had failed at doing so: she wouldn't be accepted at the TPS building and she didn't know where she lived. Apparently neither did Liam; at least that's what he told everyone.

She didn't know what to do: on one side, she had an absentee fiancé and on the other, she had a friend and ally ready to do any of her biddings. Any sensible person would tell her to leave Liam and be with Wyatt but she couldn't do that. Liam was everything to her, the love of her life and she couldn't lose him, certainly not to Steffy. There was no way that was going to happen.

Not far from Hope, Brooke was studying her daughter. She was beginning to worry about her. Steffy coming back and claiming to bear Liam's child was taking its toll on her, not to mention the hit they all took with Steffy's and Thomas' new company.

As promised, Brooke had tried anything to get to Steffy and get her out of her daughter's life. The problem was she had been unable to do so. Her building was secured and forbidden to anything Logan (and Spencer apparently) related. But Brooke was in no hurry: she would wait as long as she had too but she would get her daughter what she wanted. Steffy couldn't hide forever: sooner or later, she'd have to face the world and her lies would come out.

Her own personal life wasn't any better than her daughter's. Brooke's and Bill's relationship had taken a bad turn too, because of Steffy's return. Although they had promised not to get involved in their children's personal lives and not let their decisions have any incidence in their own relationship, it was impossible.

The two of them had opposite opinions where Steffy was concerned and none of them was ready to give them up. Brooke was sure that Steffy had gotten pregnant on purpose to get Liam to stay with her, after all she had done it before and this was nothing different. But Bill was adamant that Steffy wouldn't do something like that no matter what happened in the past. She had to agree with Katie on this one: Bill was blind when it came to Steffy and Brooke didn't know what to do with that.
