Gently, I place my hand on my glass window as I look out to the poppy field where Alpha Apollyon confronted me. Instinctively, I touch my arm where bolts of electricity had coursed through it and he gave me no explanation at all to why that occurred. After we shook hands, I quickly excused myself and ran back to the Sanctuary building where I am now standing in my bedroom.
I didn't turn back when I ran away from Alpha Apollyon. Usually, I would have stayed there and spoken to the Alpha but his intimidating aura and the unexplainable bolts that went through my arm were enough to scare me off. As I ran, I could feel the fiery gaze staring at me and it shook me to my core.
Turning from the window, I walk into my bathroom which is one of my favourite rooms in my Sanctuary apartment. The Sanctuary members may live a simple life, including me, however that does not restrict having a lovely apartment to live it.
Flowers on vines drape down from the ceiling, creating my own jungle. The walls are consumed with rough, black stones that had a vast amount of lush green leaves growing through them. In the centre, my marble bath, which had been carved when I first moved into my own apartment at 10, stands still with a floating array of flowers on the surface to soothe me. Slowly, I take off my dress and my underwear and I place them gently in a black basket I have outside the room. I walk towards the bath and step inside the boiling water.
Leisurely, I sink into the flower coated water and soon, my whole body apart from my face is covered by it as I lie down. For what seems like forever, I lie here in peace and tranquility as I think about how beautiful our world is. Of course, there are bad people but they are rightly put it justice. Anyway, everyone has good in them which I choose to see. After all, people cannot do very bad things because we were made by the God Lioneth, who brought us together in peace and harmony.
I reach to the small, dark wooden board attached to the bath and take some nourishing oils from it. I throughly massage it into my hair and skin before washing it off and then getting out of the bath. The lovely humid air kept me feeling warm as soon as I left the confines of the bath water. I take a large, soft and warm towel and dry myself off, I including my hair which dries remarkably fast due to the hot weather. I brush the knots out of my hair and then I dress in my underwear and a dress I laid out beforehand.
It's a pastel pink and white gown that is decorated in handmade roses and green and white leaves and flowers. It puffs out slightly as my waist and it drags along the floor as the tulle skirt moves gracefully. Although the tulle is white, the underlining of silk and the bodice is a bright pastel pink which happens to be my favourite colour. After yellow. No, maybe white. To be honest, every colour is beautiful in its own way and so they're really all my favourite.
The bodice reminds me of a pretty bird called a flamingo. It only resides in the world if Hirita but I love looking at drawings of them anyway.
The dress may look heavy, but it is really light and breezy which I love because I made the dress myself. Here at the Sanctuary, we are all taught how to create things ourselves because if it is not us who help ourselves, then who will help us?
I walk to the corner of the room and slip on blush pink pumps. Usually, I wouldn't wear shoes unless I am in the forest however the Elders insist that we wear shoes tonight due to the Alphas and other high ranked wolves that are visiting. I take a brush from one of my drawers and brush the knots out of my hair. Then, I take my iridescent knife and begin to slice flower stems in half so I can place them in my hair.
