Love

Love.
Four letters.
One syllable.
But it means so much more.
It means late nights cuddled up watching movies.
It means texting until the early hours of the morning.
It means staying with someone, even in the hard times.
It means knowing when to give space and just hold them.
It means telling them how much they mean to you on a daily basis.
It means more than the 'I love yous' and the 'good night baby'.
Anyone can say that. But only the ones that are true can show it.
With actions, with heartfelt notions, with the best dates ever.
And when you find that someone you can truly love,
Never let them go. Because if you do, you may never get them back.
And, that, is the worst way to love of all.

Relationship cheaters don't love.
Relationship liers don't love.
Relationship non-believers don't love.

But do you see them over there?
The one that has been on your mind 24/7?
Go to him, find out what you have with him.
It might not end up being love, but it surely will prepare you.
For the real love that has yet to come.
Love might not be over the next hill, but it is over the horizon.
Somewhere, waiting for you to come and find it.

It might take a while.
Lots of failed relationships.
Partners who became friends.
Partners who became enemies.
People who will try to break your love for whoever it is there for.

Dont let them win.
If they win, you lose.
And so does your love.
Your heart loses in a defeat.
A defeat that will cut at your skin and bones.
Worse than any scar can.

You might not believe it. Or want to.
But trust me, it is there.
You just can't see it yet.
