My skin turned pale and my lips had turned blue. My skin started to turn blue and purple my hair turned black under the lake. My clothes changed into an all black dress, the dress was knee length in the front and in the back went all the way to my ankles. My shoes stayed the same combat boots they had been when I was awake. The necklace disappeared and reappeared around my neck the stone turning all black now.
There was a loud splash at the surface of the lake and a hand grabbed my arm pulling me to the surface quickly. My eyes stayed closed as the moonlight shown on the black glistening necklace. I felt two hands push on my chest and I started coughing up water. My lungs had been flooded with all of the lake water, I coughed and coughed until I could breath again. I opened my eyes they were now an icy blue I looked into his eyes. His eyes were a light blue and his face was pale. There was a sigh of relief that escaped his throat as he helped me sit up.
I coughed a couple more times as he watched. My skin didn't gain its color back and my lips stayed blue.
"Are you okay?" I breathed heavily and finally got my breathing back to normal.
"Y-yeah fine." I shivered in the coldness of the air.
"Dammit I was supposed to keep you safe."
"What are you talking about?" I was confused now and really cold. He sighed and got up helping me to my feet. I was surprised that I could actually stand I didn't know how long I was under the water. "How long was I under there?"
"You weren't under there for long just 10 minutes. Also I was supposed to be watching you so that this didn't happen. In the alley I didn't recognize you because you were looking down."
"So you were who I ran into." He nodded and started walking still holding my hand as I tried to keep up. I looked down at my dress when I almost tripped over it. What the hell was I wearing? I was so confused on what was going on still.
"Try to keep up I need to meet up with my boss and tell him what happened."
"Who?" He didn't answer me and quickened his pace. I had to jog to keep up with his fast pace, I almost fell once running into him. He looked back with a nervous glance and then kept walking. He stopped when we came to a clearing in the woods. His necklace glowed a bright blue and then stopped as I leaned against a tree waiting for something to happen. A man appeared in front of him my eyes widened, the man wore all white with a green amulet. Things were happening so quickly I couldn't keep track of everything.
"Yes Dominic." His voice was low and scary sounding.
"I failed sir." Dominic lowered his head in shame. The man took a quick glance towards me and I watched nervously. What did he mean when he said that he failed?
"Dominic you are fine, you couldn't recognize her it is difficult to recognize her."
"Sir when she was in the alley we had ran into each other and she was looking down so I didn't know who she was. I should've known it was her because no one had passed through the alley tonight." The man nodded as he walked over to me and I didn't move. I didn't know what was happening anymore and no one would explain it to me either. He lifted the necklace off of my chest and examined it for a small moment then let it drop to my chest once more.
"Dominic she is still okay may I speak to you in private away from other ears." He looked at me and I shrugged as he and Dominic walked away. They were still in sight just not in hearing range I sighed heavily as a movement in the shadows attracted my attention. A black wolf came out and up to me, I bent down and reached my hand out for it. Dominic seemed to notice this and quickly gasped.
"ALICE DON'T!" He yelled loudly it echoed through the clearing. I reached my hand out and touched it lightly as it stayed where it was. My necklace glowed a little as it came closer to me. Dominic took a step closer as the man put a hand in front of him to stop him quickly.
"Don't Dominic." His voice was quiet and soft.
"But, Marcus." Marcus looked at him quickly and put a hand up to his lips making him stop. The wolf took small steps closer as it inched forward. I stayed put as we stared into eachothers eyes. The wolf didn't blink and neither did I, now it was only an inch away from me. It's eyes changed from all black to all blue, I stared in amazement as it matched mine. It's black fur now had strips of blue in it, I watched as it slowly changed. I took my hand away as the wolf turned into a tall man wearing all black with blue and black hair. He had blue lips and pale skin like me.
