Cursed Necklace

Chapter 3

I stood up quickly as his icy blue eyes met mine, I wanted to back away and run, but couldn't. He made me freeze up completely I couldn't recognize him, but I knew that I knew him from somewhere. Marcus finally moved and stepped in front of me and I watched. Dominic came behind me and grabbed my arm pulling me away from the two men. I stood beside him as we watched them closely.

"Who is that?" Dominic looked at me then back at the men.

"Someone."

"Yeah that's not an answer Dominic." He scowled as I said his name, I smiled.

"Shut up Alice."

"Sorry can't make me." He growled lowly as Marcus started talking I looked up and quickly payed attention.

"Sorry Diabolos you can't have her." He pulled a blade as my eyes widened with fear.

"Marcus I must his rules."

"Then abandon his rules."

"I can't Marcus and you know this you worked for him once."

"Diabolos you cannot have her she is not yours."

"Yes she is and you know that so why are you protecting her?" Marcus stopped and looked back at me sheathing his sword. I was confused and also I was no one's, I was not a fucking pet that someone could claim.

"She must not become one Diabolos."

"LOOK AT HER MARCUS!" Diabolos yelled loudly making my ears shoot with pain. Marcus sighed heavily and moved his attention back onto Diabolos.

"Maybe it doesn't have to be this way, she is still alive."

"No she is dead Marcus and you know that." I felt like a knife went through my heart as he said this. I couldn't be dead could I, I breathed heavily and stared.

"She still has a physical shape so she is not completely dead yet."

"Marcus just let us have her and this whole thing will be over with." I growled slightly I wasn't going to anyone. Dominic noticed me growl and pulled me back behind him quickly.

"Diabolos no you can't have her maybe another day and another time. Tell your boss that you couldn't find her." Diabolos disappeared as Dominic calmed down and went back with Marcus out of my hearing range.

I sighed heavily and leaned against a tree out of sight of them. They couldn't see me and that made me half glad. I didn't want to be seen anymore, I didn't want to be taken or to be dead. This was all too confusing why wouldn't anyone tell me anything? I fiddled with the amulet around my neck bored now. They continued to talk about me I assumed. There was a small glow in front of me then it disappeared. Curiously I pushed myself off of the tree and watched as the strange light went on and off nonstop. My necklace suddenly glowed bright I shielded my eyes from the blinding light.

I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me back into the clearing. I got pushed to the ground instantly as the light continued to shine brightly. I felt a hand on my neck grasp my neck tightly. Marcus stood in shock and Dominic beside him I didn't know who had ahold of me now. I got thrown into a tree, I screamed in pain as I slumped to the ground. I shuddered as the man walked up to me once again. The necklace had stopped glowing now and I could see again. His hand grasped my neck once more, he lifted me off the ground against the tree. His eyes were an icy blue and he wore all black with a sword sheathed behind him. His lips were an icy blue like mine. I didn't gasp for breath as I thought about him falling in pain. He suddenly fell in pain as I hit the ground hard. My thought stopped quickly as I tried to take in what just happened. I suddenly recognized him and backed into the tree. I had made the deal with him and I wasn't going to make that mistake again, he had tried to kill me.

"Alice you're still alive miracle since I threw you into the lake." His smiled was evil and his eyes glowed with anger. I stood without an expression on my face now I didn't care if he was here now. I wanted him to see how painful it was to almost die to have energy and power drained from you. A bright light suddenly filled the air as power struck me and made me stumble into a tree. He screamed loudly as he fell to the ground a minute later. I gaped in horror as I realized what just had happened. He gasped for breath as he got up and growled loudly.

"If that's the game you want to play Alice then let's play that game." He sounded angry and wanted revenge. He pushed me into the tree and we stared into eachothers icy blue eyes. Marcus didn't interfere neither did Dominic. I calmed down and didn't blink, he moved closer to me just so that we were barely touching. I didn't know what he was doing, but didn't move away afraid that he would hurt me. I didn't think anything harmful, I couldn't think at all. My heart nearly stopped as he stared, I couldn't move he was gorgeous. His pale face seemed to stand out as his eyes turned an icy blue like mine. He was no longer angry. Why wasn't he angry with me I almost had killed him? A warm flutter went through me instantly. Did I like him? God what the hell was I thinking he had tried to kill me.

He suddenly leaned in and kissed me gently then disappeared. I stood there in shock trying to figure out what the hell just happened. He had kissed me his lips had brushed against mine gently. I felt like I had a connection with him, I felt like I was alive once more. Dominic suddenly ran over and shook my arm gently as I stared into nothing.

"Alice are you okay." I fell against the tree sitting down as if the world had gone completely blank and empty. Now it felt like nothing was real anymore. I felt empty inside once again, when he was around I had felt alive and free. Without him everything just seemed dull and dead. He shook my arm again and I finally came back to reality, realizing what had just happened to me.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine." He helped me up quickly, Marcus was gone and it was just me and him.

"What happened with you?"

"I don't know." I replied breathlessly, I hadn't known what happened with me all that I knew was that I felt amazing when he had kissed me. I closed my eyes the image playing over and over again in my mind. I couldn't stop thinking about it I leaned against the tree smiling as I bit my lip with happiness.

"Oh my god you enjoyed that?!" He sounded alarmed by my happiness as I suddenly blushed at his words smiling.

"Shut up Dominic." I retorted angrily. My mind suddenly went blank and I fell unconscious. I forgot who I was and what I had been doing.
