Cursed Necklace

Chapter 4

I rushed through the halls trying not to be late for class again. The teacher would certainly hit me with the yardstick she carried. My skirt fluttered behind me and my buttoned polo seemed tight against me. The private school was filled with boys and girls of all ages. I was a 3rd year student, I knew where everything was and when I had to be somewhere.

I rushed into the classroom and sat down right as the bell rang, I sighed with relief. The teacher roamed the room and I glanced nervously at her. Everyone else glanced at her also, suddenly she whacked a students desk and called her out on her shirt not being tucked into her skirt. The girl winced as the teacher pushed her out of the classroom telling her to go change. The girl hurried out and started crying down the hall.

The teacher went to the front of the classroom and started lecturing us. It seemed like a century until the bell rang. I quickly gathered my things and rushed out not wanting to be in there any longer than I had to. I was rushing down the stairs when a foot went out and tripped me. I hit my head as I landed on the ground, I growled as a 4th year started laughing. I thought of him tripping down the stairs himself and suddenly he did. I gasped as he fell crying out in pain, what did I just do?

A boy dressed in all black came over and helped me gather my things. He held out a hand to pull me to my feet. I smiled as he nodded and left, who was he I never saw him around?

I went to my dorm room with a sigh. The door was open and there was a black amulet sitting on my bed. I walked over to it carefully putting my Latin books down on the empty desk. I picked it up carefully just, as I did it glowed brightly. I shielded my eyes and fell to the ground trying to not make any noise. The necklace floated in the air just as the boy who had helped me in the hallway burst into the door. He grabbed the necklace and enclosed it in his palm, my vision came back to me with ease. He helped me off of the ground and to my feet.

Are you okay Alice?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Are you okay?"

"Yes I am fine who are you? Also what the hell just happened?"

"Follow me quickly I must get you out of here." He grabbed my hand and pulled me outside my dorm and outside.

"Where are we going?" I was confused on why he was leading me away and into the woods. What the heck?

"Somewhere."

"That's not an answer." He sighed and went passed the border line and into the woods. Oh god he's gonna kill me? I shook my head trying to get the thought out of my mind. I didn't know what was happening I didn't know anything anymore.

"Calm down Alice I am not going to kill you." He looked back at me.

"I never said that."

"Sure." I sighed as he went into a clearing, I knew where we were for some reason.

"Why are we here?" I asked.

"I have to meet someone." I nodded and leaned against a tree a flash of memories went through me instantly as soon as I had touched the tree. My eyes turned all white and I fell to the ground trying to see again. He ran over and helped me.

"Alice?"

"I'm fine Dominic." He gasped and stumbled backwards. I knew his name so what why was he gasping over it? I got up brushing myself off then looked down quickly. I stumbled back into the tree, I had worn this dress before. All black short in the front and long in the back a sword strapped to my back. My icy blue eyes scanned my dress with confusion. A tall man appeared beside Dominic and looked at me as I stared in horror.

"Dominic?" He sounded annoyed.

"Sir I didn't do anything I swear." The man sighed and I remembered his name, Marcus was his name Marcus?

"Follow me Alice before he shows up and time repeats once again."

"Time repeating?"

"Yes now let's go." He grabbed my hand and I stumbled trying to keep up with the fast pace.
