About 3 years later
Training with Undyne was the hardest thing I had ever endured, every day began with a sneak attack aimed to kill, then the morning was filled with hard work-out regimens. I half-expected the food to be poisoned too, but it was really delicious. Undyne was a really good cook, it made me a little jealous how fast and how well she could make do with the produce they had in the underground. After lunch, began the actual training. Dodging, offense, defense, magical potential, accuracy. Dinner marked the  martial arts training and tactics at the end of the day. It was about time for the graduation from a trainee to a fully fledged royal guardsmen. "Now Spyro, this is what all of our training has led up to. I know you will continue to grow even stronger, and with you guarding the king, I doubt there will ever be anyone who will dare attack him!"
....
The ceremony was in many ways majestic. Asgore was about to make his speech, everyone was enjoying themselves at this banquet, the room was lit a cool yellow, and beautiful glass chandeliers were hanging off the ceiling. Many high-ranking people in the civilization attended the king's banquet. For one of his own sons, had now joined the royal guard. This was truly a time to celebrate, and a time for a test of skills. This test was made to see if the son was ready for the line of duty that lay ahead. The rules for the test were simple, Kill as many of the clones as possible without being hit in any vital areas. (The clones were basically shadows, if they hit you, you would not take any damage. However, if they were hit, they would disappear) The highest record for this test was 6374 shadows. They will come in waves, starting from 500, and increasing in numbers twofold each time. The stage was set on a field of echo flowers and the test would begin soon.
....
"Ok, Spyro, are you ready?" Said Asgore from the counting tables.
"Yes."
"Alright, Shadow Casters. Begin!"
An army of 500 soldiers began to materialize, I stood where I was and made fireballs that were floating idly above me. I directed the first fireball at the center of the army, I carefully piloted it so it wouldn't scorch the ground and the echo flowers. It wiped out the measly army.
I repeated this process.
1000...
2000...
4000...
8000...
16000..
I finished off at around 23000, absolutely shattering the last record of 6374 shadows, The crowd stood in awe, not only had I shattered the record of shadows, I had also shattered the timed record by 2 hours.
The crowd roared in appreciation that I was on their side.
"Now, If there are no further distractions, I will now induct Spyro Dreemurr into the royal guard. Any who object, speak now or forever hold your peace."Asgore announced
"Very well, Spyro, kneel before me." I knelt. He took his sword and laid in on my left shoulder, with the blade pointed towards my neck. He lifted it, and laid it on my right shoulder.
"I now dub thee, a member of the royal council, and a royal guard."
