Suddenly, the underground looked at everything with a sort of new hope, wishing us to be able to free them. This wouldn't last long, as they would soon find out the restriction of the barrier set by my ancestors. For it would take at least 7 human souls to break the gate between worlds... Even with the Angel of Annihilation, I wouldn't be even close to enough to break it. Maybe pass through it, but not a crack would surface if I tried with everything I have. After the ceremony, I had some time before I had to start guarding the family, so I went to visit Gaster and his family.
Gaster was gone, and in his place stood my brother, they had fused. I hardly recognized Taye, He stood with a black lab coat, closely resembling my own cloak, He now had two dark lines on his face starting from his eyes. One on his left, starting from the top of his eye to the top of his head. The other, on his right, starting from the bottom of his eye to the bottom of his head. His eyes were still brown, same as mine. But I suspected they could change when he fought. Like Sans. "Hey, brother. It's been a while, I almost thought you were gone for good." He had a cooler tone to his voice. No doubt because of the fusion. I took a look at his soul, the white outline was now a brilliant prism of color. Which proved that the fusion wasn't the only enhancement he had received. I sensed traces of trait modification magic. Which, yes, was one of the most forbidden magic to cast by human hands. But at this point, there wouldn't be a reason not to. The only reason it was forbidden in the first place was to stop magicians from becoming gods. Which is what we needed right now, more than ever. "Sparring against the same person everyday is boring, don't you think Taye, Gaster?" I asked them
"Agreed. By the way, You can just call us Taye, Gaster doesn't mind it." They, I mean, He responded.
"Wanna spar? For old time's sake?" He nodded.
We both teleported outside. When we started, as it sometimes did. Time itself seemed to slow, I summoned forth The Angel of Annihilation.
I was wondering when we would speak again.
Sorry, but I wanted to get stronger on
my own power first, and I don't want to rely on yours alone.
I slashed the air with my sword hilt. Fire appeared and swirled in the shape of the blade, when it dissipated, The blade shined and the fire now danced across it. The flame turned from orange to blue, as the Angel of Annihilation's power flowed into it.
Taye stood, with his hands behind his back, Seven hands appeared, and started to float around Taye. They all started to glow with the traits that he had been imbued with.
"Let's Go!" I said as I teleported behind him and slashed down. One of his hands flew and blocked the blade. "Oh? It seems your hands are a lot tougher than they look." The hand glowed yellow, I sensed danger so I teleported away. As I did, the hand fired a large yellow blast that would have put me on the floor reeling. "Holy, seems you've gotten one hell of an upgrade. I'm getting excited!" I charged him, my sword in hand. I hacked, and slashed in every way I had been taught, my flames in a routine of fury. One of his floating hands came up to my face and once again flashed yellow, I summoned my shield and raised it my face just in time. It knocked me back about 15 feet. He had all seven hands in a circle around me. "I'll be going full power for this one, try not to die." Taye shouted.
"Well then, since you're going all out, I might as well too!" I countered. Suddenly, all of the hands flashed white. A blue aura surrounded me as I called out my most powerful and  innate ability. The hands fired a massive white blast.
"Halt! Time!" The blue aura pulsed in a shockwave. Freezing everything it passed dead in it's tracks. I teleported in front of Taye, pointed the edge of my blade to his neck, and released time from my grasps. He was taken aback by the sudden change in tide.
