A poem by Daniel Bailey (aka) The Danman258
“Heart for Heart”
As I prayed to God to save my heart, I swayed my thought, asking why.
Is my heart not worthy to die while I lay cold, can’t my mind survive.
Can’t water pour without fish and fire burn without timber, thus I live without a heart.
There’s no potions or gimmicks nor downloads or webs that fix the conditions of broken hearts.
Then why?
Why, when the pain of sorrow, and, and the pain of embarrassment stricken my every vine.
My thought comes back to you Lord, is my heart worthy to live again.
Lord if you see my heart stand and watch I give it heart for heart again. Will you endure my heart?
