A poem or story by Daniel Bailey (aka) The Danman258Danman258

As I climb down into my safe whole and comfort zone.

I hide my heart from the battlefields of love.

Repairing holds of shattered dreams of homesteads lost.

I prepare my heart for the next battle seeking strategy from soldiers who have substance love with little casualties.

One of the soldiers stood out and said he'd been in battle for 50 years.

I kept my grip and asked, "What does one do to stay in the battle for so long? "

He looked at me and smiled and said, "The battle is never won, but you fight it every day, there is no off day for love. "

Then I asked, "What strategy and what weapons do you use? "

He looked me in the eyes and said, "loves greatest strategy is to laid down your arms and surrender. "

I am now ready for love.
