I was holding back from slapping all of my team and I could tell Kyle felt the same way. Ash, Rink, Raven, and Claudia were all skipping and dosey doeing behind us while singing 'The Song That Never Ends'.
"At least they're getting along." Kyle sighed. I laughed and nodded. I gave him a look and Kyle shook his head vigorously. "Please do not do this!"
"This is the song that never ends! It just goes on and on my friends! Some people started singing it not knowing what it was! And they continued singing it forever just because this is the song that never ends..." I joined in. Kyle groaned and tried to ignore us. We continued singing and Kyle yelled at us to shut up (an order which we ignored).
Rink stepped aside and up towards Kyle. I tuned in enough to hear the conversation. "So, what's the situation. I can tell you got a message so it seems that you got a message from the captain. What's going on?" He asked.
"Dead. At least 50 more. A bunch kidnapped. Andreganda's getting worse. Killing for fun, and our attention, I guess." Kyle answered calmly. I could tell, though I knew Rink could not, by the slight and nearly un-noticable pain in his voice. He knew something I didn't. I sped up quickly.
"Hey, baby?" I asked Rink. "Can I talk to my brother really quick?" Rink nodded and fell back with the rest of the group. Kyle looked at me silently, asking with his eyes what I wanted.
"Don't pretend you don't know. What were you and Rink talking about? Who is Andreganda? What are you hiding from me?! I'm your partner. I'm part of this team too!" I whispered at him angrily. Kyle sighed.
"We never knew our last name. Never. Kyle and Kiera was all we ever were. Now I know. Kyle and Kiera Andreganda. He's our father. He's the one we have to kill. He's a murderer. He's the reason we are doing this. We're his only weakness." Kyle's voice was soft. For once, gentle.
"If he's our father, then why are we trying to kill him!? This is insane! What is the point! If we're his weakness, we can stop him without killing him! I am not a murderer! That's not what I joined this for!" I screamed. I ran and as I did I transformed. A fox. I ran fast and silently but I wanted to cry. Sob so hard that I couldn't even cry anymore. Cry so hard that it hurt more than holding back the tears.
All I had ever wantd was a father. I wanted to have the normal life so many others had. Now, I find out that my father wants everyone dead. My father is insane. I hated it. I just wanted to get the man I got half of my DNA from. I couldn't believe Kyle kept this a secret from me. I heard a gently rustle. I glanced up and noticed a familiar frost on the ground. I was hidden in a patch of tall grass. Rink, he had come to look for me. I looked up to see the boy. His eyes filled with worry and his hair tousled like it gets when he's nervous (because he runs his fingers through it so often).
"Princess, are you alright?" He asked, kneeling next to me and stroking the orange fur on my head. I transformed back. He smiled and I nodded.
"Just a little mad." I replied. Rink nodded and put a hand on my cheek, stroking my cheek with his thumb. I leaned into the touch.
"I love you." He whispered. I smiled and before I could reply he dipped his head so his lips met mine. I felt sparks fly. We had been dating for almost two months but it was our first kiss. My first kiss. It lasted a couple seconds but it felt like it never ended. I looked up at him and a smile crossed his lips. A light pink tinted my cheeks. I smiled and he kissed my forehead. "I guess we had better get back." He suggested. I nodded in agrement and he helped me up and we bagan the walk back.
Yay! KISS SCENE!!!!!! I love writing those. Okay, so I really don't have anything to say but I do apologize for never updating ANYTHING. Sorry again. -Lena
