"Hey Josh, y-you think we'll ever get to-too old to climb to this tree house..?" Tyler asked Josh who was carving something on the floor of the tree house.
"Of course not, that can never happen." Josh said making Tyler visibly relax for a moment.
"Josh, i'm scared that when i'm older I won't be able to do some of the things I can now. That I'll be all alone.¨
¨Don't say that, i'll always be here with you, I promise¨
Tyler sat in the corner of the tree house staring out. Not seeing it coming.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
5 years later
"Tyler, honey hurry up you're getting late for school." his mum, Alice yelled for her son to wake up.
Tyler had dreaded this day, the first day of school. He had always been bullied and thought he was saved during his 2 week hiatus but that unfortunately didn't last long.
He reluctantly got out of bed and picked up the most decent pair of jeans he could find which happened to be on the floor next to his bed. His shirt however he found on his bed, how fortunate.
Tyler walked down the hall to his restroom avoiding looking in the mirror to long which would remind him of it. He did his business as well as brushing his teeth. He slowly made his way to the kitchen as he was soon greeted by the smell of chocolate chip pancakes, his favorite.
"By time you made it out, I was ready to eat all these by myself." Alice joked which startled Tyler for a second.
Shocked Tyler dropped his plate in the floor which caused it to break into million tiny pieces. His mum rushed over to grab Tyler shaking him violently screaming in his face to respond.
Too soon, it's too soon
"Tyler! Tyler! Honey speak to me!" She ran to sit Tyler down in the couch and rushed over to grab the phone and dial up the ambulance.
The line fell flat, the call wasn't going through as if someone or something was preventing them from transmitting any information outside the house. Alice was starting to worry and decided to just hope that Tyler would react soon.
Tyler's POV
"Tyler, you're back, I've been waiting for you. I-I almost thought you forgot about me." The red headed boy sobbed.
Tyler ran over and hugged Josh, tears streaming down his face. He thought he would never see josh again after that incident. He looked even more beautiful than before.
"I missed you soo m-much Josh" The brunette stuttered, thinking he would never say those exact words. Tyler knew this was wrong but he was to happy to even care.
"It didn't seem like it, you were very happy without me" Josh muttered under his breath hoping Tyler didn't hear.
Tyler did hear, he heard perfectly. The words lingered around his mind trying to comprehend what Josh meant by those words.
"Where have you been this whole time?" Tyler questioned, still hurt that Josh never tried to contact him at all.
"I have been dealing with family issues and i basically had no time to contact you or anyone for that matter" Josh mustered out, hoping Tyler would just drop it. Of course Tyler being himself didn't drop it.
"I needed you Josh, I was alone without you, you were my only friend and you just left without a trace or without any form of excuse." He said barely audible.
Tyler couldn't hold his sobbing much longer as he broke down in tears remembering everything he went through without Josh being by his side. All the bullying he had to go through and all the therapy sessions he had to go through because no one would believe him not even his own mom.
All that anger and depression left as soon as he saw Josh though. He was willing to give him a second chance, even if all that happened again...
I got inspired by music to write this. I hope you enjoyed this mini chapter. Posting again on Monday!
