Chapter 7: We Need To Talk

Chapter 7: We Need To Talk

Viktor and Phichit bowed to Yuuko, and left Ice Castle.

Viktor was dreading the conversation, how much did Phichit know? Was he going to have to fight Phichit? Not that it was a problem, but he'd rather not... maybe Phichit was going to tell him to never see Yuri again!

"So Viktor..." Phichit started, "why is Yuri here. Don't lie."

Easy enough, "He said he needed a break and came home." Viktor gave the response with the most ease and nonchalance possible.

"So is this the game we're going to play?" Phichit said with a smile, "Okay! So I see you really don't want him back, I'll go back to Yuri's, I don't need to be here! Byeeeee!"

Phichit began going to other direction. Viktor grabbed his sleeve. "Phichit, please."

Phichit cocked his head to the side with a smile, like Yuri always does. The two of them have the same habits, they must have been together out a lot Viktor thought to himself, so he automatically knows when something is wrong with Yuri.

Viktor had always been a little jealous of Phichit and Yuri's relationship. He knew the two were only best friends, but they were too close at times. He hated it.

"Okay Viktor, I'll ask you one more time," Phichit said with the warmest smile possible, "why is Yuri here."

There was a pause, and then Viktor finally confessed.

"Yuri caught me almost cheating."

Phichit fell aback.

"WHAT."

Viktor gave Phichit a blank stare.

"You said you knew!" Viktor said horrified.

"Yuri told me you broke something of his, he didn't say it was his heart," Phichit began racing to Yuri's. "He never wants to see you again!"

Yuri had been sleeping when Phichit came back from his conversation with Viktor. Phichit came home when he got all the real details, and was furious. Yuri lied to him. Yuri had lied to him to protect his doucheball of a boyfriend. Why would Yuri want to protect him. Phichit kissed Yuri's forehead.
"You're such a great guy, why are you subjecting yourself to him?"
Phichit heard a banging on the door. Everyone was asleep, for it was 2 AM, so who could possibly want to stay at an onsēn at this hour.
"We're closed!" Phichit yelled, loud enough to get past the door, but not loud enough to wake up everyone else.
"Open the doors, Phichit it's me, I have to see him." Viktor said.
"Yuri said doesn't want to see you," Phichit lied, "he's on the phone and setting up a date with...um... with his ex! Uh his ex... Chioko!"
"He's WHAT?!?" Viktor screeched, "Open the doors NOW!" Viktor continued banging.

How no one was woken up by it mind boggled Phichit.

"Viktor people are sleeping keep it down!" Phichit whisper yelled.

"PHICHIT. I WANT TO SEE MY FIANCÉ." Viktor shouted.

Phichit opened the doors only to stop Viktor from waking up the whole town.

"Where is Yuri?" Viktor asked frantically. Phichit grabbed him by the shoulders and slapped him.

"Why would you do that?" Viktor asked rubbing his cheek.

"You're making a scene! You're hurting Yuri, you feel entitled to everything and just-" Phichit had to stop himself he was getting so riled up.

"Talk to him tomorrow." Phichit said, somewhat defeated.

"Really?" Viktor said excitedly.

"Yes tomorrow." Phichit said sure he was making a mistake.

Viktor hugged Phichit and ran off like a tiny school girl.

"if you mess this up Viktor... I'm messing you up." Phichit said ominously.
