Phichit noticed something, Yuri wasn't kissing him back. Yuri wasn't pushing away, and let Phichit's his tongue and lips dance with his but Yuri wasn't kissing back. He was so sure Yuri was enjoying the kiss. Yuri was allowing it to happen and was clearly not happy about it, so Phichit released Yuri from his grip.
"Yuri-" Phichit started.
"I think Viktor and I are going to leave tonight instead of tomorrow." Yuri seemed distraught.
"Wait what?" Phichit asked.
"I can't be around you Phichit. Not for too long. You'll try to do things to me without asking." Yuri refusing to look Phichit in the eyes.
"But we had a moment just there I felt you kiss me back," Phichit pleaded.
"No what you felt wasn't Yuri. It was someone that is confused." The voice didn't come from Phichit nor did it come from Yuri.
It was Mari.
"Mari-neesan, I thought you were with mom and dad?" Yuri said clearly embarrassed.
"I came back a day early, just in case you decided to leave early. You should go pack." Yuri nodded and did as his sister told him.
Left in the dinning area was only Mari and Phichit. Mari lit a cigarette and blew the smoke at Phichit.
"You fucked up." Mari said nonchalant.
"Thanks Mari, I didn't realize that from the moment he said 'me and Viktor are leaving a day early'" Phichit said with disdain.
Mari chuckled and put her arm around the Thai skater. "You're never going to have him. I want you too to get together but he loves Viktor too much."
"But Mari-"
"But Mari nothing. He won't love you, I'm sorry." Mari walked away in anger. How could Yuri not tell her that he was leaving already? She could only think of one explanation...
Viktor walked into his room after taking a bath to see a teary eyed Yuri packing away his clothes.
"Are you leaving me again?" Viktor asked him.
Yuri chuckled, clearly still distraught. "I want to leave tonight."
Viktor was confused but didn't argue. He was scared that Yuri would change his mind all together. He was scared Yuri would want to stay in Japan or worse... leave with Phichit.
Viktor knew he was Mr. Untouchable, but when it came to Phichit, he felt a bit vulnerable. Phichit might be the only damn person on this earth that could challenge him over Yuri, and have an off chance of winning.
Maybe.
Viktor helped Yuri pack, he wasn't so good at doing it himself, which everyone found ridiculous considering he'd been traveling all across the globe from a young age.
Yuri gave Viktor a small, grateful smile. Something was clearly bothering him. Viktor was scared to ask though.
So he didn't.
They finished packing, but Yuri looked sad still.
What's wrong Yuri, why are you so upset?
A simple question, but he couldn't bring himself to ask. Instead he grabbed Yuri and kissed him.
Instead of kissing back, Yuri lightly pushed him away. "N-Not now Viktor," he wouldn't look Viktor in the eyes.
"Yura..." Viktor started, but Yuri left the room, tears streaming down his face.
What was going on?
Phichit, whom of which did not leave his spot in the dining area, watched Yuri zoom out the house.
"Yuri! Where are you going!" He yelled after his friend, but Yuri did not heed a single person.
Yuri ran and ran.
"What happened between you two?" Viktor asked Phichit.
"Nothing." Phichit lied.
"He didn't react when I kissed him!" Viktor's voice grew louder.
Phichit felt a pang of satisfaction, "but he did when I kissed him." Phichit immediately covered his own mouth.
"You did what?!" Viktor raged.
"I was kidding, I wouldn't do that," Phichit said, he couldn't wipe the smirk off his face. Viktor grabbed his shirt.
"You smug son of a-" Viktor was interrupted by Mari.
"You really think that's the worst thing that happened in this whole situation Viktor? Do you not remember what you did?" She said as she drew her lips to her cigarette.
"What do you mean?" Viktor said as he released his grip of Phichit.
"Think about it Viktor, you mentally tortured Yuri for two weeks now. He barely forgave you, and you feel as though you have the right to be defensive and come onto him like this? He's bound to be confused." She drew from
Her cig again. "He's over you Viktor."
"Mari, stop." Viktor said as calmly as he possibly could.
"Telling you the truth? Fine by me," Mari said as she walked away. A satisfied smirk began to spread upon her face. All one needs is a seed planted in their head and...
Viktor stood there with no response for a while. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, he finally asked "You don't think Yuri's over me, right Phichit? There's no way. He just lost his virginity to me."
Phichit couldn't help but laugh. Viktor is so clueless, he really thinks Yuri had never had sex before? What a fool, Phichit couldn't help thinking.
"Phichit, answer me, d-do you think he's over me?" Viktor looked helpless. Phichit knew Yuri would never forgive him if he lied.
Is a lie even a lie if you're the only one that knows about it?
"Yuri was telling me that he was unsure about going to Russia. He wanted to leave early because he knew if he stayed here any longer, he'd... well..." Phichit's voice trailed off. He knew what he was doing was wrong, and so unlike him, but he had been holding back for so long... he needed to take drastic measures if Yuri were ever to be his.
"He'd what Phichit? Please tell me!" Viktor pleaded.
"He'd well... leave for good." Phichit saw Viktor's expression. It was one of a truly broken heart. Good, now you know how Yuri felt. Though when the first few tears left his face, Phichit felt guilty for what he said to Viktor.
"I cause him so much pain," Viktor said remorseful, "he's so hurt, all because of me."
Phichit knew what he has to do.
"Victor I'm sorry I just lied." He had to tell him.
Victor looked at him with the blankest stare.
"You did what?" Victor said, monotone.
"I lied... because I'm in love with Yuri."
"I knew it!" Victor punched Phichit in the face and he was knocked out cold.
