"Got any yet?"

"Stop talking to me," I knitted my eyebrows together, "I'm trying to think."

He snickered, "Alright, alright."

We continued walking in silence. It wasn't awkward at all, it was a comfortable silence. Something that we had once gotten used to while walking back home while busying eating some fast food, candy or ice cream that we had just got together when we were children.

"WAIT," I burst out, jokingly I asked "I got one. Can you give me the answers to the next science test?"

"Nope," Elliott responded without hesitation, "But I can help tutor you with science if you want. I'm not that bad at science if I must say myself. I can't believe that child prodigy like you could lack the basics. Two questions left."

"I can't help it. In my old school, I barely passed it," I punched him lightly on the shoulder, "Plus that was a joke."

"Still," He repeated seriously, "Two questions. Anything else?"

"Um," I pondered, "Why did you become a teacher?"

He lowered his gaze, and suddenly he was quiet again, "My mother used to be a teacher too, and I thought that I would follow her footsteps. When I was younger my mother would describe how wonderful it was to be a teacher. Even though I'm not a real teacher yet, I hope that one day I will be able to experience what my mom experienced."

"Ah," I looked up at the sky, the sun was a wonderful lilac color, "I wish I had such a bond with my parents, but unlike your mom, my parents are boring business people."

"You know if you are ever lonely. You can always come over to my place, I live with my little brother now," He added, "I know that Katherine's job requires long hours."

"But, you are my teacher and I'm your student. We shouldn't interact with each other so much. people might get the wrong idea. Plus it's against the rules," I hesitated, "I will keep that in mind though. Another question, are you really single?"

"I wasn't lying when Lena asked me that question," He stopped walked, and looked up to his side, "You have run out of questions, and we have arrived."

I look to my side, I was home, "But, can I ask you something else?"

"Maybe next time," He looked at his watch, and tucked his other hand inside his pocket, "It's quite late, and I need to cook dinner for my brother. Do you want to come over for dinner?"

I shook my head and lied, "Aunt Kath already prepared dinner for me. Well then, goodbye Mr. Matthew."
I started backing away, he grinned, "Salutations, Ms. Willsworth. See you at school tomorrow."

I turned around and started walking up the door. I got out my key, and twisted it into the keyhole. By the time I turned around to give Elliott a final greeting, he was already long gone. I should have accepted his invitation for dinner, because I was dead tired and was too lazy to make anything for myself. I settled on some cup ramen that I found in the cupboard. It was bland because I put in too much water, but it was the very least quite filling.

I took a shower and put on my pajamas which was a nightgown with strawberry patterns all over it. If someone from school saw me wearing it, I might just die of embarrassment. I pulled my hair into an incredibly messy bun, with pieces of hair flying out here and there. It was not at all like the pictures I see on the internet, where they were only one or two loose strands.

Placing my laptop on my desk, I went on skype to found out that I was added to multiple group chats by Lena, Emma and Dan. Including a homeroom group, the Matthew Dyer fan group, entire year group chat and even one with just the four of us. My heart lighten up, and I proceeded to reply to the messages. I found that if I tried not to think about it much, it was quite easy to reply to the messages.
