I slightly open my mouth to say something but i see the rage in his eyes and his fists punching against each other.

Best if i stay silent.

Breathes in

Breathes out

Breathes in

*pause*

"I'm sorry, i shouldn't of reacted like that"

I swirl around so i'm facing him and give him a forgiving smile. Instantly i saw the rage disappear and a shine in his eyes appeared.

"I'm Taylor, 16 and yes although i'm a girl, i do indeed skate, i've been skating since i was 12" i introduced myself as he laughed

I nudged his leg as if to say 'your turn'

"I'm Charlie, also 16 and i've been skating from the age of 9"

16? Yeah he's quite tall but he looks so young... clear skin, no black circles under his eyes or bags... you know the typical 16 year old image.

"Tell me your story, of why you're a douche as a 'cover' up?" i grin cheekily

"You don't even know me and you're already asking personal questions!"

"This way, i can get to know you more and if you want i'll tell you mine... Besides we have nothing better to do so... STORY TIME!" I exclaim giving him a wink.

"Other people would just ask for my favouri.."

Cutting him off i simply say "I'm not like other people. I'm me."

He takes a deep breath in

Breath out

Breath in...

"I have anger issues and OCD. I over think every detail about what happened, what's happening and what would happen... i'm depressed due to being bullied and beat by my dad. My mother died when i was 6. Skating and drawing is my escape from everything and everyone. Blake, with the brown hair who you met earlier, has been my best friend for as long as i can remember, and i can't believe i just told you almost everything in a nutshell!"

Speechless.

I wanted to say something, i wanted to give him a simple but tight hug for reassurance and acknowledgment of how strong he is but i was frozen. I could see in his eyes a feeling of disappointment within himself, almost as if he was ashamed.

Countless questions racing through my mind but for now the least i could do is snap out of this awkward silence i knew Charlie was wrapped up in so eventually i leap over to him and squeezing him tight i softly whisper

"I'm so sorry Charlie" and gently kiss him on the cheek. I could feel his cheeks flush in redness and heat up.

"Your go" he whispers

---Charlie's POV---

"Your go" i whisper back, not even responding to her apology, i don't need it. I do appreciate it but an apology won't change what's wrong with me or my life.

She tenses up

"You know what.. my story seriously isn't as bad as yours"

I put my arm around her rubbing her shoulder soothingly

"Not all stories have to be bad" i murmur

"I too have been bullied and still am, i too get beat up by my parents.. speaking about my parents... they don't agree on me skateboarding, they push me around to do what's 'best' for what they think is for me but really it's for them. I .."

"TAYLOR!!! THE POLICE ARE ON THEIR WAY!"

Someone rudely interrupted her from a distance

"Oh shit!!" She mumbles

"Come with me!" I grab her wrist and drag Taylor up, we start to run through the forest near by.
