Rewritten version of Tony and Ziva's conversation after Somalia.

Ziva speaking

Tony speaking

Ziva silently slid through a small crack in the door of the men's room, and leaned against the wall. Tony was oblivious to her standing there and continued to wash his hands, they had become clammy whenever he was around her. As Tony swing around he finally caught sight of the silent Israeli staring down at the ground, as Ziva looked up her eyes met his and she stared longingly.

"I uh... I wanted to apologise for... for everything"
"You don't have to do that"
"But I should... I'm sorry Tony for doubting you, for leaving you" Ziva said stepping closer until Tony could hear her faltered breathing.
"Hey... it's fine. I get it"
"I just... it was one of the two things in my life I always thought I would have, something that was real... but it wasn't actually real at all" her eyes were now brimming with tears.

Tony pulled her into his arms and she gladly gave into his war on embrace. He could feel her tears seeping through his shirt. After a few long minutes they pulled apart, Ziva turned to leave. But he caught her arm.

"What was the other thing?"
"What?"
"You said the only two things you thought you would always have, what was the other one?"
"You"

Ziva leaned in and kissed Tony, it took him a few moments to process it but he eventually kissed her back. In that moment neither of them though that this would be the start of the rest of their lives.
