I put my feet on the seat and looked out the window.

Nash-"I just don't like you being alone with him.."

He mumbled.

Lexi-"What?"

Nash-"I don't like you being alone with him" he said louder

Lexi-"He's my boyfriend Shawn. Why can't you just accept the fact that I am happy??"

Nash-"I just don't wanna see him hurt you.."

Lexi-"Right. Only you can do that....."

He pulled off into the side of the neighborhood and put the car in park.

Nash-"I don't ever hurt you Lexi."

I just laughed sarcastically and got out of the car and started to walk

Nash jumped out and grabbed my arm.

Nash-"Hey just get back in the car. It's okay."

I kept walking.

Nash-"Please let me drive you Lexi. I can't just leave you out here" He asked softly

I was suprised he wasn't yelling at me so I just stopped walking and got back into the car.

It was silent until we got to Shawn's house when I got out.

Nash grabbed my arm as I was getting out..

Nash-"Please just be careful."

Lexi-"Nash."

I got out and shut his door.

Nash-"Do I wait or?"

Lexi-"Um.. yeah i'll be right out"

I walked up to the door and saw Shawn on the couch.

Lexi-"Shawn?"

He stood up and stumbled over to me

Shawn-"D-do you love me?"

He stuttered out.

Lexi-"Of course."

I smelt alcohol and glanced at the couch.

Lexi-"STOP DRINKING!"

I walked over to the couch and Shawn walked over and pushed me into the couch

Shawn-"I'll drink when I want to"

I started throwing away bottles and he walked over and threw one to the floor.

Nash walked in.

Nash-"Hey you were taking a while."

Shawn-"Oh s-so you're with him now?"

He shouted.

Nash-"Shawn no, Lexi is all yours and no one is trying to take her from you. Okay?"

Shawn walked over and hugged me and I felt a tear fall out of my eye while I was hugging him.

Nash just looked around awkwardly

Nash-"Okay Shawn... Let's get you to sleep and you will be all better in the morning"

He grabbed Shawn's hand and threw him into bed. He covered him up and then walked out of his room, shutting the door behind him.

I was throwing away the last bottle when he walked out of the bedroom.

Nash-"Has he done this before?"

Lexi-"Uh.. yeah, I just didn't have anyone to help me with him"

Nash-"Did he uh... yell at you or anything.. or.?"

Lexi-"Yeah. He yelled and got a little violent but i'm fine."

I stopped and stared at the floor for about five minutes.

Nash-"Lexi What's wrong?"

I looked over at the wooden table that was new that he got in place of the glass table I had fallen into when he was drunk last time and I felt my eyes tear up but staying inside my eyes.

I continued looking at the floor but then ran to the bathroom upstairs.

I locked the door and collapsed on the floor and leaned against the closet door.

Nash banged on it.

Nash-"Lexi please let me in!"

I sat and cried as quietly as I could letting it all out. The memories. The pain.

I moved over to the shower so I could grab a tissue and clean myself up but then I just sat back on the floor to catch my breath.

I heard a slight knock on the door so I unlocked it and a few seconds later it was opened.

I just looked up at Nash and remembered every bad thing that he had ever done to me so I got up and tried to push myself past him but he grabbed onto my wrist and looked at me for a second and pulled me into a hug.

I fought him to get out of his arms but there was no use.

I started crying again and fell to the floor in his arm.

Lexi-"-It shouldn't be this hard."

Nash-"What shouldn't?"

Lexi-Being with Shawn." I mumbled out

Lexi-"His dad was the foster dad that tried to drown me at the beach and that beat me until I bled and his dad had the same eyes as him and every time that Shawn and I fight I remember him and that table in the living room used to have a glass one in it's place but I got pushed into it by Shawn and every time I look there that's all I can s-see"

I cried even harder.

Nash gripped onto me and I cried into his arms until I fell asleep and after what felt like forever woke up in his arms on the floor.

I sat up and looked around and sniffled.

Nash sat up and looked over at me.

Nash-We need to get home Lex"

I just nodded and stood up and walked out the front door and got into the car and Nash followed shortly after me getting into the drivers seat.
