I looked up and saw a tall brunette figure that I didn't know.

I looked up at him and he squatted down to my level.

Boy-"Are you okay?"

I just looked at him.
Lexi-"I'm fine." I rubbed my eyes terrified.

Boy-"I'm shawn. I saw you run out of the house."

Lexi-"Great so you're one of Nash's friends."

Shawn-"I'm not as much of an ass as him."

Lexi-"Mhm."

Shawn-"Hey! I'm not" he laughed.

He stood up and grabbed my hand.

Shawn-"Here stand up."

I stood up and looked up at him terrified.

Shawn-"Whats wrong..?"

Lexi-"Um im just. I'm a little scared of men from ptsd so I'm a little.. terrified of you."

Shawn-"Oh.. what can I do?"

Lexi-"Nothing. It's
Not your fault."

Shawn-"I'll walk with you home."

Lexi-"O-Ok."

I saw Hayes walking over and I just rolled my eyes as we started to walk back.

When we got close to Hayes I switched sides with shawn.

Lexi-"Leave me alone Hayes."

Hayes-"No. Come here!"
He started grabbing me hard and threw me
Into the ground and I almost fell.
I stood up straight and walked behind shawn.

Shawn-"She said leave her alone man!"

Hayes-"Whatever. Shawn won't be here to protect you tonight."

I looked up at Hayes.

Lexi-"Stop Hayes. Please."

Hayes looked at me in the eyes and they didn't look the same.

I ran out of the field and onto the sidewalk and just walked home.

Shawn came up behind me and walked next to me.

Shawn-"What did he do?"

Lexi-"He kissed me and he wanted to keep going and I told him to stop but he wouldn't and now he's mad at me."

Shawn-"What an ass."

Lexi-"You're friends with one that did the same
Thing."

Shawn-"Nash??"

Lexi-"Mhm."

Shawn-"Oh my god I'm so sorry.
You should get out of that house."

Lexi-"My parents love me
And I know that I can't ruin this for Bryce.
This is the perfect family for him."

Shawn just looked at me sympathetically.

Shawn-"Don't forget about you."

He said breaking the silence.

Lexi-"What?"

Shawn-"You. You're so concerned about what Bryce needs and you're
Not thinking about how careful you need to be with yourself."

Lexi-"It's
Just he's done so much for me and I ruin every family we're ever in and I know I can't do that this time."

He grabbed my
Hand.

Shawn-"It'll be okay."

I half smiled and we walked into the house together.

Everyone was gone.

Mom and dad were on the couch.

Lexi-"Hey where's all of Nash's friends?"

Mom-"Oh. They all went to Aaron's
House to spend the night."

Lexi-"Oh okay."

Mom-"So you and shawn are..?"

Lexi-"Friends. I just met him. We're gonna go upstairs."

Mom-"No funny business."
She smirked and laughed

Shawn-"Oh never."

Lexi-"Were just gonna watch a movie" I laughed and walked upstairs.
I saw that Hayes was in his room and wondered how he beat us here.
Bryce was in there with him and
I heard the doorbell ring.

Mom-"Can you get that lex?"
She shouted from downstairs.

Lexi-"yeah!"
I yelled back.

Lexi-"Be right back."

I opened it and saw a tall blonde girl.

Lexi-"Hello..?"

Then I saw will.

I jumped up and clung to him in a hug.

Lexi-"WILLLLL!"

will-"LEXI!!"

He said mocking me.

Lexi-"I missed you."

Will-"I missed you too" he said putting me down.

Shawn was eyeing me from the stairs.

Lexi-"Hey I'm gonna be upstairs if you need me. Tell me if
We're doing dinner or something tonight."

I walked upstairs with shawn.

Shawn-"So you and
Him are.. pretty close?"

Lexi-"Yeah. I mean he's really the only brother I like now.."

Shawn-"That's good."

Lexi-"What's wrong?"

Shawn-"Just saw the way you hugged him."

Lexi-"Shawn?"

He looked at me with some familiar brown eyes and I flashbacked.
I saw dark brown eyes pull me out of the ocean and then it all went black.
