Chapter 4

Finns P.O.V.

I woke up to Millie next to me. It had been a month since the whole Romeo thing and not a word about it was told to anyone. Except I think Sadie knew because she kept calling me badass for some reason.

"Good morning Cutie." Millie said snapping me out of my daydreaming. "Hey cutie." I said smiling at her.

It was Saturday morning, tomorrow was Sadies birthday so me and Mills planned on going shopping for her.

Millie got up and went and changed from her pajamas into her day cloths and I did the same.
"You look good." I said smiling knowing she would scold me for complimenting her. But she didn't she just walked over to me and hugged me.

"Ready?" She said smiling. "Yep." I smiled back and we walked to the plaza of stores about a mile away.

I was worried about her since the whole Romeo thing. I just I didn't want Millie to like Romeo. I just, I loved Millie. And the thought of loosing her to him, made me hurt inside. Not that I thought Millie would pick him over me, just that the thought of it made me want to curl up in a ball in the corner. So I stayed with her and didn't keep my eye off her, i didn't want Romeo anywhere near her. The fact he was willing to fight me for her means he really liked her. And I wasn't going to loose Millie.

When I wasn't with Millie she was either with Caleb and Sadie, Gaten, or Noah. Her and Noah had become close. Not like they liked each other more of a best friend thing.

"Let go in this shop." Millie said looking up at me. "Okay." I smiled and held her hand. We walked in and Millie looked around a while.

We went in quite a couple stores and Millie had gotten Sadie a necklace, t-shirt, scarf, and two perfumes. We went and sat down in the food court. "I'm going to go get us some food be right back." I said letting go of her hand as she sat down at a table. "Okay cutie." She said smiling.

When I got back Romeo was sitting right across from Millie. I stopped for a minute listening in to see if he was apologizing. Nope. He grabbed her hand from across the table and she pulled away and said my name. I ran over and punched him in the face. Not as hard though I didn't want to be responsible from blood all over the plaza floors. He got up and looked at me. "Stay away from my girlfriend." I said sternly giving him the death look. He walked off. "Are you okay?" I asked Millie softly sitting down at the table. "You don't have to punch him every time you see him." She said looking down at her feet. "Millie I just I.... I can't loose you to him." I said almost breaking out in tears. She looked up at me and kissed me. "You won't.... I love you Finn Wolfhard." She whispered. "I love you too Millie Brown." I whispered back and tuned facing the food I had set on the table.

"I'll go up and pretend nothing's going on and wait until she falls asleep then I'll come help." Caleb said. We were all sitting on the couch planning a small surprise party for Sadie except Millie and Sadie. They were in their dorm doing whatever girls do. "Okay, did you get the supplies Finn?" Gaten asked me. "Yeah." I said looking to Caleb.

Caleb came down the stairs. "Alright she's asleep." He said rubbing his hands together and picking up a pack of balloons. We all set up balloons, banners, presents, and had cake in the fridge that we bought already made since non of us were good bakers.

"Finnie, get up!" Millie said shaking me lightly. "Huh? What?" I said sitting up. "We have to go over to Sadie's for the surprise party." She whispered. "Oh yeah okay." I said getting up and throwing on a coat and sneakers.

We walked in and everyone but Sadie was hiding behind couches. "Come on!" Caleb whispered loudly and gestured for us to go behind he couch. We crouched down and heard steps from the stairs.  "Caleb?" Sadie said as we all sprang up from behind the couch. "Surprise!" We all said and Sadie practically fell off the stairs. Caleb ran to catch her but she caught herself. "Happy birthday, my love!" He said kissing her on the cheek. "Thanks, guys!" She said hugging Caleb and looking at us over his shoulder.

We ate cake, opened presents, talked, ya know the whole party thing for like four hours.

"Want to go for a walk?" I asked looking down at her. We were sitting on the couch my arm around her. God, she's so beautiful. "Sure, where to?" She asked. "You'll see." I said standing up and taking her hand to help her up. She was wearing shorts and a T-shirt so I wasn't worried about where I had planned to take her but I grabbed one of my extra hoodies just in case.

We walked for what seemed like a while until I picked her up and threw her over my shoulders. "FINN WOLFHARD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" She screamed laughing at the same time. "I LOVE YOU!" I screamed running threw he bushes onto the beach where we had first kissed. I ran and ran and dropped my extra hoodie in the sand and continued to run in the water. "FINN IS YOU DROP ME I SWEAR TO G...." I cut her off by flipping her over my shoulder into the water. She quickly came up. "Finn! You...." I cut her off again by kissing her. There was a pause. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." She whispered back and kissed me. There was again another pause. "Forever?" She asked me with a worried look on her face. "Forever." I assured her.

We walked back, my extra hoodie on her, my arm around her, her talking on and on about Noah's little crush for this kid Jack. Noah actually had grown on me and we were pretty close friends now. She told me where he met Jack and how Jack was perfect for him but how Noah didn't know how to ask him out. I felt bad for the kid. If he loved jack as much as I loved Millie, I don't know what I would do without Mills. I shook my head thinking about it. I stopped walking and she stopped too and stopped talking. "Everything okay?" She asked looking worried. "Yeah I'm just so happy your mine." I said pulling her in for a hug. She smiled. "I love you, Finnie." She said her head against my chest. "I love you, Mills." I said. She looked up at me and I kissed her.

When we got back to the dorms we went up. She took a shower and got into her pajamas in the bathroom while I put on my pajamas, sweat pants and a t-shirt, and when she was done she walked out and fell right on the bed. "Tired?" I asked. "You bet." She said. I pulled her up to a pillow and tucked her in. "I'll be right back." I whispered to her but by then she was already dosing off. I kissed her on the cheek. "I love you." I whispered.

I walked outside to find Sadie sitting there looking at the stars. I sat down next to her. "Hi Sadie." I said looking up at the starts. "Oh hi Finn." She said looking at her muddy shoes. "Everything okay?" I asked. "Yeah.... just thinking." She said looking back up at the stars. After a while of silence i blurted out "do you think Millie really loves me?". That stopped Sadies whole thinking process and everything because she practically jumped at my question. "Are you being serious?" She asked. "Yeah." I said looking at her. "She loves you. So much. She won't stop talking about you. You make her happy. You make her world stop like Caleb does to me." She was practically crying. "Why? Your not going to break up wit...." I cut her off. "No! No. No. Never. There's just this kid, Romeo and he keeps showing up like like he likes Millie." I said. Sadie put her hand on my shoulder. "She would never cheat on you. She really really loves you." Sadie got up. "I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight Finn." She said starting to walk back. "Thanks Sadie. Goodnight." She turned around and smiled and I went inside.

Millie was sound asleep. I pulled back the covers and fell asleep next to her.
