Getting Out

I wake up and this time there’s no Liam here to make out with me. No Liam to stare at while he peacefully sleeps. I wish he was here to get angry at. I wish there was the option to kick him off the bed. However, he’s not here and I’ve gotten past the anger. Now there’s just this dull pain of realizing that I’ve lost the lad I loved. He gave up on me and us before I even got to experience what being with him was really like. I walk out of my room and remember that his is right next door. If he’s here I’m sure he doesn’t want to see me. Which is fine, I guess I don’t want to see him either. I walk downstairs, see his favorite cup. I go to the living room, there’s his blanket. I need to get the fuck out of here and now.

“ZAYN, I THINK YOU’RE HERE. COME HERE” I scream.

“Vas Happening?!” Zayn yells down the hall in his groggy voice.

“You said someone you knew was in real estate right? I need their number.”

Zayn’s smile slowly faded “Where are you going Nialler?”

“I need to get my own place. I mean we don’t have to be with each other all time right?”

“Niall, what’s really happening?”

“Did you really sleep through Larry’s fight today?”

“Long night” Zayn laughs out.

“Well, Liam doesn’t think we should be together. I don’t think I can live with him and stop loving him. I need a new place.”

‘I won’t lie, it makes me sad to think of you  not being here mate”

‘I’m sorry, I just can’t”

“Here just take the number” Zayn says as puts it into my phone. He then looks at me and walks away.

I didn’t mean to make him sad, but he’ll be over it a lot faster then I’ll be over Liam. I need to do this. I need to do this for myself and for Liam so he doesn’t feel awkward around me. I start to make the call

Hello?”

“ Hi yes, my name is Niall Horan and I’m looking for a new apartment”

‘Oh hi Niall! That should be no problem seeing as everyone knows you’ll be able to pay rent. Any place in particular?”

“Well you did get us this apartment right?”

“That is correct, are you looking for one like it?”

“If it’s possible, can I stay in the complex? I just don’t want to be in the same apartment”

“Absolutely, let me see what we have here”
