After 3 weeks of fun, sun, and hate, it was the day of the Grammys. It started out like usual, I fed Teagan breakfast, and she did some schoolwork. At noon, though, my hair and makeup crew flocked the hotel room. Teagan’s dress was super cute, a royal purple gown that was snug and shimmery on her torso and at her waist it flowed out, with a shimmery mesh-like skirt that went down to the ground. She was wearing silver flats, and a silver headband with a bow. Her dress had a silver rhinestone belt, and little rhinestones on the skirt. Her blond hair was in it’s natural curls, and she looked gorgeous.

They put me in a blue dress much like Teagan’s only with a way lower cut neckline, and no belt or rhinestones. I wore silver flats, too, and no headband. My hair was in a messy updo, and I had eyeliner, mascara, a little blush, and some very very light pink lip gloss. My performance outfit was way different, along with Teagan’s, but these dresses were for everything else, including the red carpet.

She was beaming, and soon, we were ready to hop in the limo. I could see the excitement on her little face, she was practically bursting. I had briefed her on her behavior, extremely sweet and polite. She’d smiled and nodded, excited. She was ready to sing, too, her voice was amazing. Demi, Selena, and I had worked with her a lot on vacation. She took dance lessons, too. She really wanted to either sing or be a ballerina when she grows up. She is amazing at dance, too. She’s very flexible, and her dance teacher wants her to be on the competition team at her studio, but I said once I’m off tour I’d think about it.

I was nervous. I got a lot of hate, and I was sure to get more after tonight. I just prayed to God that Teagan wouldn’t get much. Liam had disobeyed management on several occasions to come sing with me and Teagan, and just to hang out. He kind of gave up on our actual relationship, as had I.

Teagan and I got in the limo, me holding my clutch, and her holding her stuffed animal. I told she’d have to leave it in the car once we got there, and she was fine with that. She was really excited, and we pulled up to the place. I was really nervous. I had hidden Teag for six years, and now I had to show her to the entire world. Suddenly, I wanted to go back to the hotel. I wanted to tell the driver to turn around, but I also knew the extent of how we had to hide her was getting ridiculous.

No, Taylor. You have to do this. I told myself, and took a deep breath. Then, I stepped outside of the limo, and Teagan followed me. Everyone swarmed me, asking me questions. Teagan smiled her cutest smile, and waved. Flashes were going off, and people were asking question after question.

“This is Teagan Swift, my little sister.” I said, and Teagan waved, giggling. She loved it.

“How old are you?” A reporter asked T.

“I’m six.” She answered.

We walked to the actual red carpet, and took our poses. Reporter after reporter asked Teagan and I questions. She charmed them all, and I was proud of her. After a lot of posing, talking, and laughing with some of my friends, it was time to go sit down.

The show started with announcing a lot of awards, but none in the categories I was in. Soon, someone told me it was time to go get ready. Teagan grabbed my hand, and we walked to the backstage door. Everyone swarmed me backstage, and we got to our dressing room. I changed into a simple white dress that went to my knees. The dress was strapless, and there was a silver belt. I wore silver heels, and put on bright red lipstick. I put on a little bit more makeup, and left my updo.

Teagan was wearing a white, short sleeve dress with a lace overlay. She had a white headband, and white shoes. Her hair was left down, and they didn’t put any makeup on her. Her dress went down to her knees. She looked really cute.
